The House of Representatives has quietly changed the name of "freedom fries" and "freedom toast" on the Capitol cafeteria menu back to "French fries" and "French toast" Two Republican committee chaiman ordered the name change in 2003,after France refused to support the U.S.'s decision to invade Iraq.

The number of immigrants living in the U.S. jumped 16% over the last five years,fueled largely by new arrivals from Mexico,the Census Bureau reported. The biggest increase in immigrants population were not in the traditional "gateway states" of California,Texas,and New York,but rather Indiana, South Dakota,Delaware,and Missouri.

Teenagers in Wyoming,Montana,and the Dakotas do more binge drinking than those in any other part of the country.Up to 30 percent of teens in these rural states regularly down five or more drinks on a night out with friends. Police and the teens themselves blame the boredom of living in the most sparsely populated states in the U.S.
