Well the boys are comeing off a tuff loss. Right now they have 4 players averageing double figgures. Which make the hard to guard and game plan for. There going to be a tuff team to beat. Good team comeing to the Nest Friday get focused boys you will need to be on your game . You can do it Eagles good luck.

Another league game in New Boston Friday the boys seem to be struggleing a little right now but they are 2-2 with there losses comeing to 2 good teams. I think last years team started 2-2 so keep working boys lets see a great deffensive game Friday !! Remember boy " Sweat in practice so you won't bleed in battle!!" Good luck Eagles !!

Important game for the Eagles in my opinion they are comeing off to heart breakers this is a heart check for them I think. They are far enough into the season to know what they each need to do to right the ship. I look for the senior leadership in Lands,Pickett,Murphy and Lightle to shine threw and bring an intensity on the deffensive end like we haven't seen in a while . At least they better cause Buckley is a player.

Nice team win by the Eagles 3 players in double figgures everyone but one scored I beleave. They good deffensive effort last night Buckley's points came from the foul line well 12 of them did. As a team I think Eastern moved the ball better than they have in any other game this season . Now lets play deffense like that against Clay and build some momentum for the holiday classic. Another league game with Clay comeing to town . If the Eagles can repeat the deffensive effort they had at New Boston they should get the win. And I'm leaning towards the Eagles shooting slump being over they were lights out at New Boston. Pickett is playing like he's possesed right now he had a monster game with 16 pts 16 reb. And Lands shot like the Chad "bad " Lands of last season putting in 29 pts followed by Lightle with 12 . They played a little over 2 1/2 quarters. And the deffense of Justin Fultz and Josh Thacker was very good. Those 2 along with Lightle and Lands deffense can cause opposing guards nightmares. Matt Dyke is really playing well also . And Murphy's athletic ability puts a lot of pressure on opposing bigs . Keep up the hard work on deffense boys "deffense" wins games. Good luck Eagles play hard.

Ok Eagles let's take the improvements you have made the last 2 games and focus on the Waverly Tigers . The Tigers are a very big school and there record doesn't tell a accurate story key injuries at some bad times have played a part in there season. Be ready for a fight they have very good athlets on there team. You guys need to put your foot on the gas on both ends and don't let up till the final buzzer good luck boys.

Great job last night boys. That was a nice win any time a small D-4 school can get a win aginst a D-2 school like Waverly they have done something good. You guys played one of the better games as a team I have seen you play this year. Your deffense in the paint was by far the best you have played. Waverly hit some long 3's and you have to credit them for that. Tonight you have a big challenge in Piketon they play a very similar style of basketball that we play. We have to limit turnovers and make shots. And on deffense try to keep there bigs off the glass. In Piketons game versus Western there was about 10-12 times they got 3-4 shot attemps in one possession by offensive rebounding they dominated the glass against Western and in turn it won the game . We must be accountable every player for boxing out or we will be in big trouble. Lets go boys play hard and fast and go get that trophy !

Way to go Eagles you played a great tourney two wins over a couple nice teams. Best deffense I have seen this team play all year you locked them down on deffense. Chad "BAD" Lands lead the charge and Pickett,Lightle,Murphy,Thacker,and Fultz followed if they continue to grow defensively they can really accomplish a lot . Lets go Eagles make this anouther season to remember !!!!!!
