If your only claim to giving us a scare is a wideout dropping a pass. Thats not a convincing arguement. By the way Mentor Lake Catholic held Ironton to their lowest point total all season with 7.

I hope to get my father to a game this week. He has not been able to go to one this year so far. Let's go TIGERS --- HIT SOMEBODY!

Something has to be in the water in the Hocking valley, everyone around there takes offense at everything that is posted about a ballgame.

Thats what happens when you dont agree with someone exactly.

Good luck to the Buckeyes!
Have a safe trip Ironton.

Tigercannon71-If #25 ran all over the feild that fateful night and the Tigers only came up with 14,was he running the wrong way most of the time?

He had been wacthing Barry Sanders highlights all week so he was doing his best Barry imitation running 25 yds back to get 30 yrds for a gain of 20.
Re: WEEK 9 ~ IRONTON @ NELSONVILLE-YORK
I know! I was at that game also and its ok to support your team but lets keep it realistic. He may have had dreams about Barry Sanders but the comparison stops there. And if he ran 25 yards back and ran to get 30 then he gets 5 yards. He was an exceptional running back but certainly did not have his best game that night. But it's the playoffs and stuff happens. That being said hope no one gets hurt and hope the Buckeyes win!

The last 8 weeks we have had to play The opposing team and the refs. This is the week that we definetly dont need that this week.

The big guys up front will determine the outcome of this one, it might be early or it might be late in the game, but the game will be won in the trenches where the big dogs hang out. And Ironton has the biggest dogs in this fight.
Gotta agree, It all starts with the big guys up front, Giving #6 some time to complete the pass, and also on defense being like a locomotive busting into the backfield and stopping their game. Also got to keep controling the ball like we have been and keep on BLOCKING, BLOCKING, BLOCKING. Tigers keep up the good work and take each week at a time controlling the game not looking past anyone. 42-17 TIGERS

28 is the most points put on N-Y this year but it happened 3 times, once again D6 Berne Union. I think though, like against Portsmouth, NY Will really be fired up for this game I think and will be a lot tougher than most are thinking they're goin' to be. I believe Ironton can beat them if do everything right and play hard.
Re: WEEK 9 ~ IRONTON @ NELSONVILLE-YORK
Simply put I think Ironton's schedule has them more prepared for this game than that of NY. With that said I have heard alot about this NY team and think they could pull off a good win if they come together as a team for 4 qtrs. At GA we have seen 2 TVC teams and neither has been within 4 scores of 4 of our opponents. Ironton has faced those same obstacles and that may be the difference in this game.
Re: WEEK 9 ~ IRONTON @ NELSONVILLE-YORK
The lucky horseshoe won't do the Buckeyes any good this week. Ironton.
Re: WEEK 9 ~ IRONTON @ NELSONVILLE-YORK
question is bronc fan, are the refs playing for you this week??

Ironton (OH) at Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH), 7:30pm [projection: Ironton (OH) 35-14]
Hope its right!! Also Ironton fans support your team. We also need a student section. Everyone in the league has one but us it seems. Don't wait till the playoffs and then come to the games either.

Looks about right to me.
Have reasons to root for both teams. Ironton is in the SEOAL and can help us playoff wise, but in reality or spot is locked pretty much the rest of the way.
On the other hand, I always root for the Buckeyes unless they are playing Logan. Good people in Nelsonville who love their football, nothing wrong with that!
Hopefully it will be an injury free game. Too bad it's not a Saturday night game or I'd make the trip down to Buchtel myself.

Re: WEEK 9 ~ IRONTON @ NELSONVILLE-YORK
I'm wondering how large the Ironton crowd will be - given the distance involved and the price of gas. I hope there is a large turnout, but I can't blame anyone for not driving that far due to gas prices. If it's any incentive, remember that NY has a brand new stadium and I think it would be worth the trip on it's own just to take in a game at the new Boston Field!
