Ahoy, ye scurvy Redlegged dogs!

Are ye ready to be keelhauled this weekend?

The Burgh is no place for someone from the Queen City!

Captain Hurdle has the Man 'O War ready for battle. The long nines have been run out. Bucco bats are ready and so are the pitcher's arms.

Fresh chum has been scattered on the waters so beware of the shark tank as our bullpen is the best in the majors.

Soon it will be every landlubber for himself.

Fairly warned ye have been, so says I.

LETS GO BUCS!!!

June is here and it is safe to say that everyone has settled into the everyday grind that is a MLB season.
Most of the people who were panicking at the start of the season have realized that it is a long season and a slow start doesn't spell doom.
Most of the Dusty haters have finally shut up for a while, but as soon as we have a rough patch they will be back.
I don't really have a complaints myself. I wish Cozart could get his average a little higher but he did alot better in May than April. Having great pitching and the best defense in the league goes a long way, but run support is lacking. Bailey has pitched excellent but only gets 2 runs a game from the offense.

I have no doubt that the bats will come around on a consistent basis.

GO REDS!!!!

Still can't believe they blew that game yesterday. To me , the big at bat was in the first inning when Izturis hit into the DP that ended the inning. Reds had a chance to blow that game WIDE open.

Izturis gets me to another point. Is he the best option for the Reds when Phillips goes down? You can't tell me that there isn't someone better in the minors better than him.

I think there is a better option (or 2) in the minors if something longterm were needed.

I could see izturis and even cozart come up in trade talks come deadline time.
We also have one of the best problems in baseball, to many pitchers so keep an eye out for something to happen there.

I would like to see them go after Tulowitzki. Could you imagine that lineup then?

Choo
Phillips
Votto
Tulowitzki
Bruce
Frazier
Paul
Hanigan/Mesaroco

That would be a nice lefty-righty combo for the entire lineup.

Reds looked oustanding vs the Buccos. Mister B tips his cap to em.

Still, after the Colorado series, the Bucs are only 1 back of the Reds and 3.5 back of the Cards.

The NL Central is very strong this year.

Cards 9 Reds 2

Cards pound Reds pitching with 16 hits as the Reds drop back into a 2nd place tie with Pittsburgh 4 games back.

Something special may be brewing in St Louis as the Cards are a MLB best 40-21 .656 but even more impressive is that they are a MLB best +93 on runs scored vs runs allowed.

Appears to be a pitching matchup tonight as the Cards send out Lyons (2-1 2.66) to face the Reds Latos (5-0 2.90)

Reds got a win.
Lagos did a great job against The Cards last night. Let's hope we can keep doing it.
This Cardinal team could be one for the history books.
