And from what I can gather, they gave Ready all they could handle for four quarters.........Let's not lose sight of that, as you continue to share your thoughts about this game.

You are in for one Hell of a fight, I'm afraid.
We understand what Newark Catholic is, and what they have....as I usually say every week, The Valley players and coaches know FULL well that they are up against, and they will be FULLY prepared. I dont think a 10-1 Newark Catholic team did this by mistake, I mean they are the D6 State runner up from a year ago.

This is out best team in the last 3 years, and they will be ready to take everything the Green Wave throws at them.

I agree with everything you said but still think the team three years ago was better. How in the world you guys lost that Regional game still baffles me. Still think Rolfe is the key to the game. If he can do enough running and passing, I think they move on.

Well, I guess that settles it. Better than puxatawny phil. IMO, I thought that 2011 team was awesome. I also liked that 2008 team I think, someone might have to correct me on that, the year you went to regional. That team reminds me of this team.

i think the 2011 team had better stars but the 2013 is the better team. valley will have to stop that qb sneak they use it as a normal play not just as a short yardage play. their fullback is a load. we will have to pass the ball to keep them from loading the box. the team that has more balance will probably win this game.

I think you're talking about the 05 team...the year before we joined the SOC II

11/4 H # Grandview Heights (9-2) [5:19] W 21-14
11/11 N # Bishop Ready (9-3) [5:19] W 28-6
11/18 N # Centerburg (11-3) [5:19] L 21-26

Lost the Regional title game to Centerburg. This team reminds me of that one as well...I think this team has a stronger defense.

We met JJ prior to the game, he was real cocky and confident it would be a blowout, and he didnt speak to us afterward. Jesco, Crabs bro were both there as well.

After watching videos on NC they will really struggle with Valleys over all team speed. NC has some size but I thought they look a little slow at times when it was critical for a stop on several runs....

I do think Valley is faster overall, #5 for NC can run. He's not real big but takes a hit and can hit top speed real quick, kinda Darren Sproles like. Valley must stay disciplined on the defensive side... I watched a few of the NC films and saw them pull out a few trick plays for TDs. They ran a reverse pass with the WR throwing a long TD. They love to run an Iso keep with #7... Our DEs and OLBs must stay home and squeeze, don't chase the iso. Other than that, I felt that NC's offense was pretty cut and dry. The QB throws a lot of hitches and outs, they like to run out of the I-formation. I like Valley's chances... Win the turnover battle, win the game.

As to both team better be ready for a knock down drag out, full on for 4 quarters, I absolutely agree. This one will be worth the drive to Nelsonville. Go Indians!!

Good luck Indians you have made it to the 3rd round the last 2 years and it is time for you to take the next step and get to week four. You are good enough, disciplined enough, and you are talented enough and you have been their and done this so punch them in the face [not literally haha] and you have the thoroughbreds to keep it going!! And something I wish I could have said to a son or daughter if I had ever had kids, but for you seniors when u go out onto that 100 yard piece of carpet Friday night soak it all in, the sights, the sounds and smells all of it, and I am in no way saying this is your last game at all but my biggest regret In football was not doing that in my final game in the 1st round game against Ironton way back in 1988. :122247

Should be a good game. Go Valley from a Central Ohio fan. Can't root for a team that doesn't know how to win with class.

Newark Catholic run a good deal of I-formation, using their speedy back...Wing, I think is his name. He had four runs of 20+ yards last week. #7 Crouch, their qb, runs a sneak basically the same as a dive, following his big blocker Jurden. He has been inconsistent with his passing numbers all year. If Valley can contain the speed outside, I think the interior D-line will handle the qb sneaks just fine. Turnover margin will be key...
