They at least got Lamb and Finnegan out of the Cueto deal, which is more than they are getting out of Bailey right now.

And Bailey was coming off of back to back excellent seasons where he was fully healthy. His ERA around 5 was through 2 starts last year when he got injured and probably was at the time. The deal is an awful deal, but he had been realible up to that point and thinking differently is revisionist history.

Cingrani is 5 for 10 in save chances...but I still think he's their best option as of now.

They have a really good chance to win this series with the Cardinals. Not ideal to have Alfredo out there tonight, but having Finnegan tomorrow gives them an excellent chance.

As to the GM, I fear he does the bidding of the owner. Payroll control is how the Reds make money, not winning games and putting fans in the stands. Cincy has and will continue to suffer in the era of free agency.
