Unfornately for eveyone the team so far this year has not really solidified as a team COMPLETELY. They are all great kids but there have been games when there have been a tremendous amount of open shots missed because of noone passing. I am a very big fan of RH and everyone of the boys but no one can deny the games and the fans crying out " run the plays" and "pass the ball" FAMILY ATTITUDE is a great concept and I will encourage this but last year and this year is just has not been there. Fans, parents, school faculty, and caoches can not get inside the kids heads and make then feel FAMILY. It is evident on the court how things are going physically ,mentally and emotionally. Maybe everyone should set down and watch the films and count the passes and see all the boys left wide open. They could do better on boxing out and rebounding and passing. As far as glamours aspects of the game. this set of boys used to have passes that would have the fans on their feet mainly because they were so tight and it was like they could read each others thoughts. They were smooth as silk. We can not claim that any more. That it SAD . They will be gone and we will miss everyone one of them. I hope that they do well tonight. TEAM is a must and DEFENSE. WE need all that we have SPEED, HEIGHT, AGGRESSIVENESS,AND ATTITUDE to stop the pointers. Play together boys Look for the open man

11-0 .... Awesome job Pointers!!
And I know the new gym seems to have a smaller home side, but it still looks like our attendance is up, which I think is great to see!! I think it's starting to look like the community is backing our boys. It's good see we're getting some community support and some school spirit back in South Point!

Even people are coming in from out of town to watch the Pointers! I agree, I think the new gym MIGHT seat less, but the Band has part of the bleachers .(which I am not complaining...I think it's great the band is there with the student section - which G has done an AWESOME job with this year!)
Can't wait to see the crowd for the second Fairland game - get there early for that one!!
Congrats to the Pointers on a big OVC victory tonight and Todd Mayo seems to really be the real deal and congrats to him on a very big night.. I couldn't be there because of a surprise birthday party for Dr.Leath's wife Tara I attended but my Mom and Dad was there and said that South Point had a good cheering section. Well Redmen try not to get to discouraged and just remember this was a very good ball club you just faced and just get ready for the next game and bounce back with a big "W"

team ball not tonight. Turned the ball over way to much. Not looking for the open man. The Matney kid has been hot last 4 or 5 games, had a great game at River Valley. Didn't get the ball much at CG. He was working tonight to get open when he did it was on his own. He run the middle trying to get screens all night got none. Like in a eariler post allsport said at River Valley it takes a fist to win it doesn't matter if the index finger does a little more.Come on guys look for the open man. Seen more scoreing tonight from Bulter and Nate great DUNK. Defense has to pick it up. come on REDMEN there is a lot of season left.
