Best team in Washington County
you have to say Waterford based specifically on their victories over Fort Frye and Fort Frye's victory over Warren.
Lots of valid points, but I would have to base mine on the fact that Warren did struggle to contain Thompson and any other bigs for that matter. Since Waterford swept the Fort, Waterford would be given an edge over Warren.
Granted Waterford's guards aren't as good as Warren's, I seriously doubt Warren could contain Cunningham and company.
Washington County's best wears Green this year.

throwitdown...who ever said Warren was too athletic for FF?...i thought FF mathed up pretty well with warren and thats probably why they gave the a good game both times...still not sure why Waterford even beat FF twice...i would think that warren and FF are both too athletic for waterford but appearently they were too much for FF but we won't get to see a warren-waterford match-up so who knows what the results would actually be...i think warren might be able too go a little deeper on the bench as well...anyways like i said in the warren and ff topic it is always hard to win at "the fort"...no matter how good or athletic you are...

fasteach...
Warren is very physical and very athletic and very deep. Hunter and Horner are there shooters and Hooper can slash and make things happen. Call and Majoy are there post threats, Majoy can also take you outside or take you to the hole. Call plays mostly under the basket. Jonathan Hebb is the most athletic player on the team, he rebounds, blocks shots and scores. He can GET UP!! If you want to beat Warren, the main thing you have to do is limit them to one shot, you have to box them out and hope they have a bad shooting night. Also get there post players in foul trouble, Call and Hooper have seem to have trouble staying out of foul trouble this season.
Warren starts:
Tyler Horner 5-10 Sr.
Steven Hunter 6-0 Sr.
Cory Hooper 6-0 Sr.
Sam Majoy 6-5 Sr.
Craig Call 6-4 Sr.
off the bench:
Jonathan Hebb 6-3 Jr.
Grant Venham 6-4 Fr.
Brandon Fivecoait 5-11 So.
David Lemon ( if healthy) 6-1 Sr.

So im crazy waterford isnt better than fort frye, both games were flukes??We won by 9 and 16 by complete luck?? You experts attend either one of those ball games??I mean waterford got beat by fed hock twice so im assuming fed hock was the better team. I tend to think that the first meeting with them would indicate more how the teams compare though, with fed hock having a slight advantage over waterford not so much the 2nd meeting...that was pretty pathetic. But if waterfords not better than fort frye someone explain that to me because I've had numerous fort frye fans tell that we're just better than they are, and i think their players would even say the same thing.

I think warren is deep, athletic, and talented...but to me they're a big disappointment. They lose games they shouldnt alot like waterford. From watching them in the fort frye games, i thought they had a lot of potential but they have a couple kids that dont really buy into the team concept and don't really want to move the ball. If they would play together they could be really good.
throwitdown ....you are absolutely right ... there is no team concept ..there are 3 players that couldnt see the floor if they fell face first into it. Now for prodigy's comments ... all heights of players are wrong for a fact ....call and hooper in foul toruble? ..call yes ...but never seen hooper foul out yet this year . warren is just a few clicks shy of being a great team ...but it's a little late now.

throwitdown...never said waterford wasn't better than ff...we were talking about athleticism right?...and i think i actually agree with you for once about the warriors not being a "TEAM"... i think they have gotten better and are showing signs of being a "TEAM" but i don't think they are quite there yet...hopefully it will click in time for the tourny...as well as for waterford...would like to see all the county teams at the convo...i think washington county has been very well represented this year...girls and boys....

Just because waterford has had a couple bad games of late and layed an egg vs. your beloved lancers doesnt mean waterford is a bad team. I wish you would stop hating on them, but i guess you dont have anything better to do. Waterford would beat marietta twice i can promise you that. I have seen them. I would imagine we would beat Galia as well. Portsmouth we would split with, and we would lose the rest, thats my opinion but i might even be shortchanging us a little. But im tired of arguing with you, im not saying waterford is the best team in the county. That is a very tough debate. Waterford, Warren, and Fort Frye all have very good teams this year and are capable of winning some games in the tourney. I anticipate watching them all at the convo.
