The Ohio High School Athletic Association will also look into the allegations that Mayo received payments while at North College Hill High School, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

It was not clear if the team would have to forfeit its Division III boys' basketball state titles from 2005 and '06.

"In digesting things for a day and talking to other staff members, it is more accurate to say that we cannot answer that [forfeits] question at this point," OHSAA assistant commissioner Bob Goldring told The Enquirer via e-mail. "We would have to know the exact details of the findings, have proof that they were indeed true and then determine if any of the bylaws would be applicable."



Mr. Goldring is who I quoted from the Enquirer yesterday with the 42 day rule. Looks like he's changed his tune. HMMMMMM.

Walker played the 2002-2003 basketball season at Rose Hill as a Freshman, then in February of 2003 enrolled as an 8th grader at North College Hill. According to OHSAA rules, his eligibility clock started as a 9th grader for the 2002-03 season he spent at Rose Hill. His 9th grade year at NCH, 2003-04 constituted his 2nd year of eligibility, and so on making him ineligible for his 12th grade year at NCH, which from his starting point of 2002-03 would have been his 5th year as a high schooler, even though he spent Feb-May of 2003 as an 8th grader by enrolling back a grade at NCH. My information on Walker's situation came from WSAZ.com.

XandO's, you are 100% correct about Bill Walker....That's why the OHSAA ruled him ineligible....4 years of eligibility is all that is allowed....His jumping from school to school just caught up with him....Just can't play 5 years....Rose Hill kept good records....They had the deciding records that made him ineligible....
