Waverly vs Webster 1/10

I will have to go with Webster in this one. I'm not sure about it being an instant classic but it should be a good game. Kretzer is a great player that can be a force in the paint as well as from 3. But he does seem to struggle in games that he has to work hard on both ends. Guarding Loop will be a tough match up and Kretzer tends to settle for 3's when he gets tired. Loop can be the same way although I do feel he is the better shooter. The 2 leaders should cancel each other out and I feel Webster has the better supporting cast. Maybe inconsistent but they are getting better. Goddard can flat out stroke the ball but can make some bad decisions as far as passes and shots go. How he plays for the Jeeps will be a huge factor in the game.

Fellas, it seems as though I may have stepped on some toes. I apologize, as that was not my intention. To show you, please see the things I said about Kretzer in my initial post on this thread. I, personally, think he's the best player in the league. I'm sorry if my enjoying playing the role of Devil's Advocate is at all bothersome. I just feel like it helps spur on conversation. To the game swanker wants to know I say waverly wins if they dont double kretzer or play a box and 1 and if they do its a toss up.

If I'm not mistaken I believe Waverly drilled the Jeeps at Webster last year and then lost to the Jeeps at Waverly without team "leader" Harrison Martin. This years Waverly squad is much different with kids finally getting a handle on their roles. The Tigers are playing much better ball now then at the start of the season. Last year has little to do with this year.

and didnt Waverly beat webster at webster sooo the point is what, that they will split again this yr. I think Waverly will win tonight because they are playing very good defense and with Corcoran in the lineup they are pretty big now and rebound better than they have been, Kretzer has taken his game to another level, but if Webster can get strong pressure on the guards of waverly and manage to limit kretzers touches in the half court then they have a good shot to win. But i still am going with Waverly to win this game.

Would love to see kretzer and loop match up tonight! Might happen defensively for the jeeps. Don't know who else could guard kretzer. Unless they zone.

I would venture to guess it will be ward on loop he is probably the best defender waverly has! Should be a dandy of a game good luck to both teams

Loop is 6'4" and put together physically well enough to defend Kretzer. However, I'd give the overall advantage to Waverly here because of Ward. My reasoning? Ward can defend Loop and take that pressure off Kretzer, allowing him more energy on the offensive end of the floor at the end of the game, whereas Loop will be expending a ton of energy at both ends of the floor all night. Is Loop capable? Absolutely! But, on paper, at least.......edge Waverly.

I like Webster's guards, though.
