8th grade game ^^ was a very hard fought game between two talented teams. Neither side gave up and it could have ended either way. I must commend #24 he is a great ball player and never loses his cool, shows great sportsmanship at all times. I will say officiating could have went better for both sides :(. Hope you all had safe travels home.

Great game in Chillicothe between Gallia and Chilly 8th grade teams. In a tale of two halves, Gallia takes late lead, only to see Chilly tie the game, but foul Gallia with less than 6 seconds to play. Gallia misses both free throws and Rosenbauer takes the outlet and gets all the way to the rim for a bucket to win at the buzzer 41-39. Cavs led 24-11 at half, but Gallia rides the strong presence of #34 and #43 inside to get back in the game.

Wonderful competitive spirit for these two teams. After the overtime game down at Gallia earlier in the year, one wouldn't think another game could be so close. Great game to enjoy as a spectator. Great game to play as a player. Great game to coach if you are a coach.

In looking at the future SEOAL highschoolers, these 8th graders bring plenty of talent and I have been impressed with the solid coaching of Gallia, Logan, Portsmouth, Logan and Jackson. I am one that does not care about records, but rather development and competitive spirit. This 8th grade class in the SEOAL really gets after it. I believe the same could be said for the football field as well. Chilly moves on to Portsmouth on Wednesday to wrap up the round robin with the league members. Another tough one on the river. Good luck to Gallia the rest of the year.

GO CAVS!!!
