jon v.- not sure who showtime is but he forgot to mention the great job #23 osborne was doing. you were being guarded by an outstanding defensive player who is also a senior and maybe the best player in soc1. 2 or 3 to's in the 2nd half not bad vs that pressure!!!!!

coach T. / great coaching move going to zone in 2nd half.that move was difference in ballgame.

shawn r.- i've watched you play for 4 yrs, best all round game i've seen you play. great job on boards and on defense to go with 10 pts.

clay - very good defense, eastern is an explosive team, good job containing them tonite.

I said earlier that you could go 5-2 or 4-3 in your last 7, changing that to 5-2 or 6-1.

my one negative for tonite was boxing out, if you play 4 guards like we do alot you have to really box out and crash the defensive boards. also be aggressive and get the loose balls.

GREAT JOB TONITE!!!!!! ENJOY TONITE THEN GET FOCUSED ON GREEN TOMORROW

GO CLAY !!!!!!!!!

WOW. :122246 What happened? Did Eastern sputter or did Clay step up? Did they get homered or take Clay too lightly? Or did Clay play the game of the year for them?

Eastern shot 9 for 26 from the free throw line.
Missing 17 free throws will get you beat every night.

Bottom line was that Clay came to play & Eastern did not.

There was a lack of intensity that I have not seen from Eastern all year.

And a very well balanced & focused game played the entire night by Clay.

Congrats to the Panthers on the huge win. Hopefully this win will boost their confidense and get them a few more wins over the remainder of the season.

Also, congrats to my nephew Jon Valentine on tying for the team lead in points with 12 to go along with his 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

I WOULD SAY THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Yes I was wrong!!!

As Ryan Express posted Clay came to play and the Eagles did not.

Congrats to the Panthers!!!

As for fututrebkstar's comments:I do not even know what your doing on this thread.......Is'nt there a SEOhio christian school conference thread you could get on and get some scouting in?Because from what I'm hearing OVC,and Teays Valley are much improved!

eagles showed up with little effort.....
shot poorly from free throw line.....
lack of hustle.....
poor rebounding.....
too many tournovers....
etc, etc, etc,

everyone keeps saying how this team works together as a team-----if you all have been to all the games, then you have to be honest and say thats not always the case---there are a couple guys that take unwise shots----especially when they throw up shots that cost tournovers---EVENTUALLY THAT COSTS YOU GAMES---maybe that behavior is catching up with the eagles---everyone has tournovers--everyone misses shots---its part of the game---but from my seat there was some selfishness going on last night and that surely didn't do us any favors.

Eagles took this loss hard-----at least I know a couple of the guys who were evidently upset afterwards---but hopefully the team will rebound and finish the season strong and not let this loss defeat their goals to win the league and go strong in the tournaments.

good luck to Coach Fitch and the Eagles!!!!!

This was a big win for clay, and i think the balanced scoring shows they are starting to play like a team

Eastern actually hit 14 of 26 from the line while clay hit 13 of 18

Well, I saw the video. Looks like to me the Eagles played down to a team they waxed by 22 points 10 days earlier. Shameful. Congrats Clay on playing spoiler. I hope the Eagles learned their lesson from this and better find some fire to finish out their season.
