Re: Clay @ Green 2/6
From reading Ignert1's recap of the game it sounds like the Green staff let the game get out of control late with 2 techs with under 2 minutes to play and up at one time by 10 in the 4th qtr.Sounds like Clay had composure and Green didn't.Tough loss

Re: Clay @ Green 2/6
Couldn't have said it better myself, ignert1. As poorly as Green played in the 4th, I thought they would still pull it out when Clay threw back the gifts Green was giving them (foul shots off of T's). Hat's off to Clay, after their 3rd qtr. nap they played pretty well. Both teams need to spend the next couple of days doing nothing but shooting foul shots and Fraley needs to to pull the reins in on the Cats. I was embarrassed by the antics of a couple of the players. A little seat time might help. The first T was self frustration and might have been ignored but the second T should have been followed by the coach escorting the kid off the grounds. That play cost the Cat's the game, plain and simple.
Re: Clay @ Green 2/6
frank n beans, who was the kid that should have been escorted off the grounds for Green. Theres no doubt you gotta have discipline first and play defense second. Without discipline nothing else matters. Doesn't Fraley have the football coach helping him? He should help with the discipline. If discipline is a problem now at this point it doesn't look good for tourney time.
Re: Clay @ Green 2/6
Ignert1, Why does Fraley have his hands full? Its no different than anyother team. Also, they should be improved and be better than the first time around if you are getting better as a team. In the first round of play I would think Green was trying to figure things out as far as what is expected of them and finding the best mix of players.I think the same holds true for Clays coach. He has developed his team and is better than he was early in the season.

Re: Clay @ Green 2/6
I won't mention names, those who saw the game know who it is. He has played under control all year up to this point but frustration or stupidity got the best of him last night. They better be in a better frame of mind tonight or it will get ugly as Green and SV genuinely dislike each other. Whoever keeps their composure tonight will win.
And yes, Mercer sits on the bench with Fraley. No doubt he was dissapointed with what happened and I am sure he will have something to say to those involved. You won't find a man who cares more for the kids than him. Witness the way he sprinted off the bench to help a Clay player when he went down after a pile-up under the basket in the 4th qtr. He cares about ALL kids, not just the ones he's coaching.

Wow, sounds like this was an exciting game, wish i could have been there.
Did the crowds get involved? Because sometimes that can pump up the players
