Week 2: East Tartans @ Scioto Northwest

Congratulations to the Tartans! This small group of football players out hit, out hustled and flat out played a much bigger Mohawk squad that has one of the best backs in the area. Great defense from the Tartans with a couple of "pick-six" to their credit. The Mohawks just ran out of gas on their home field in the second half. The East players seemed to be in better condition for the heat. Just a great game to watch! Loved the screen call on fourth and 10 for the touchdown for the Mohawks and Luke Brown is just fun to watch run the football! Northwest did a good job with the two minute offense at the end but they just ran out of gas. Huntington Ross is next. Big game for the Mohawks this coming Friday night on their home field, as this might be the last team on the schedule they can beat (but what do I know, I thought they could beat the Tartans). I really thought this team would have a shot at a .500 season but like somebody said, if you can't beat this little D-6 school.....................sad. Old habits die hard. Hope #63 for Northwest is OK? He had some sort of leg injury. Any update on his condition?
