When our Jay Vee team played them a few years ago it was on a Saturday and their players thought it was a varsity game. They had fans with noise makers, and they were doing the wave and the whole deal. Never seen anything like it at a Jay Vee game.

Yes that I was talking about Fairfiled Christian. Their coaches probably tell them they are playing against varsity teams just to give them confidence when in reality it is a Jay Vee team they are playing agianst most of the time.

Wow, I should've started a Fairfield Christian thread, but anyhoooo.... what is anyone's guess on the number of starters returning for Miller?
I'm debating whether to go watch them in the opener vs. Beallsville, or go see Fed-Hock vs. Monroe Central.
Either way, good luck Miller weeks 2-10... i'm pullin' for Beallsville in the opener.

Who will be there key players now that Levering and Householder are gone? What about Coach Riley? And I thought this thread was about Miller? What's all this varsity/non-varsity talk?

CD - Save yourself some gas money and some wear and tear on your car. The trip from Beallsville to Hemlock is the drive from Hell. There is no easy way to get from the Monroe/Belmont county line to southern Perry county without getting car sick.
The school is out in the middle of nowhere, literally, and is a real SOB to get to, even for the other TVC teams, other than Trimble.
If you take the most direct route (Rt. 78 from Caldwell to Glouster), you are in for a 70 minute ride between the two towns, about 35 miles apart. Then you have another 20+ minutes to get to the school, once you hit route 13.
If this was going to be a competitive game, I could see you making the drive. Save yourself some time and money.

SD,
Think i'll take your advice and stick to the straighter roads of um, Monroe County. Woodsfield looks like a good destination vs. Federal-Hocking, unless I convince myself to hit Ryan's Family Rest. in Marietta on the way to Fort Frye.
Drive from hell? lol. I have to think in my past i might've driven from Athens to Hemlock back in the day, but might've been kool-aid driven.

^^ they did beat our jv team. i remember someone sayin their coach won a state championship at a different school, so they may end up being pretty good.
