Well, let's see....since the Browns returned, we have tried to be the next 49ers, then the next Miami Hurricanes, then we tried to be the next New England Patriots, and oh yeah, we also tried to co-opt the Baltimore Ravens, then we tried to be the next New York Jets...what's next? I suppose we could be the next Green Bay Seahawks. I just hope we finally have something worth rooting for in the next couple of years. I'm running out of time!

There aren't enough lincoln logs in the entire USA lol... Seriously though the qb situation is a need. As a Panthers fan i've suffered through the roller coaster named Delhomme and its frustrating. Troy Smith might be an interesting pick up since he hasn't really had a shot. Boldin or Marshall would be a huge upgrade at wr. Sharper might be available for the secondary. Plenty of options this season for the team willing to spend.....

Draft a QB third round. I also look for Holmgren to make a run at Matt Hasselback. Anderson is as good as released before his roster bonus is due. Quinn will languish on the bench. However, I'd still go for the backup at Green Bay, Matt Flynn.

Funny how i mentioned Delhomme a few weeks ago and now he's a Brown. I don't know what he has left but i will say you're getting a guy that will be a leader in that huddle and will fight to the end. He was frustrating at times but he did lead us within 3 points of a superbowl victory and to the playoffs a few times. I would love to see him finish with a bang....

i agree.... I think deholme will turn some heads right away....just too bad for him the afc north defenseive face is soo strong...
but i agree he is a strong, quiet leader...who wont let those second rate fans in cleveland bring him down.

Obviously you didn't read my post where i said he was a roller coaster. Compared to what they've had the last couple of years, he looks like a superstar.....

I like what they have done addressing the QB spot. Delhomme is a proven pro and at his age it is obvious he is not the future but a serviceable short term guy. You have Wallace backing him up with seven years of experience in Holmgrens offense and will be able to tutor whoever Holmgen decides to draft. Sounds to me like a solid plan for now and the future.

The recipe for winning in Cleveland is simple:

1. RUN the ball! They need a dominant running back. They should have drafted AP when they had the chance and they should have signed Chester Taylor when they had the chance. Bringing in worn out journeymen like Jamal Lewis is a recipe for mediocrity.

2. Build a dominant defense. Nuff said...

3. Find a QB that won't give the game away. The weather on the Lake makes a top QB unnecessary....

4. Someone mentioned Unis.....I would like to see them go back to white helmets like back in the glory days. And, get rid of those ugly ass brown pants!
