I sure hope to see deon on the team this year...sounds like we have such a large number of quality backs..and a great front line...just hope this group of kids come out with the intensity that wins games...I believe last year you had keith wetzel and jon Monig..who I believe really showed that they wanted to win..along with others...That is where it's all won..in their hearts..what's your thoughts on this group of kids..do they have the heart to make a run at the end...I believe they have the tools

just wondering what the big deal is with dion. He hasn't even played high school ball. I hope that he is ok and all but we have returning players who can get the job done.

your right the tigers does have a lot of players comming back and dion still needs to adjust to varsity football b/c that is a big jump from 8th grade to varsity and he still needs to prove to coach that he can play cuz 1 play cant do that but he is a good athlete and i know he can do it but he needs to work extra hard when he gets healthy

I think this tiger team has a great group of leaders. This will be a very good season to be a fan of tiger football.I think Dion has a lot of growing up to do as a player, but he is an extremely talented athlete. The line has some spots to fill but Spoljaric and Webb will be luxury for the offense this season. I look for Tres and Warner to be the two featured ball carriers for the team with the likes of Tyler Hagar and Mike Lawless at the blocking back. The losses of Moning,Cramblit, and Edens on defense willl be tough to replace. The keys for the defense will be replacing those three as well as Preston and Taylor in the secondary. This tiger team will be comprised of three great classes of kids and players, I am so excited to watch the tigers make ANOTHER deep playoff run.

I have heard from reliable sources that week 9 is doubtful at best! Looks like a 9 game schedule, but if you want to be optimistic Ironton will have a week to get healthy before a big Portsmouth game

I need directions to find "Tank Stadium"

I have to be in Ironton on Wednesday for a meeting with my new job and have never seen the Stadium.

Get off of 52 at Route 141 exit, go to the light and make a right which puts you on Liberty Avenue (as you pass Speedway and the Shake Shop you will see the Tank to your left), go to Maple Avenue and make a left, go to the stop sign at 9th Street and make a left, this will take you right to Bob Lutz Field at Tanks Memorial Stadium.

Enjoy...............

you'll think you stepped back 80 years, it's awesome. especially look down tiger alley at the stuff on the side of the stadium, very interesting reading.

Just found out yesterday that my cousins are grads of Johnathan Alder, our 6th game. How fun that makes it! Some good banter. I LOVE it Ironton being independent and getting to see all these different schools and teams

Is there any truth to the rumor that some of the freshmen from last year aren't coming out for football to focus on basketball?

Hate seeing a nine game schedule for any team.

I know for a fact that Bluefield, WV still needs to fill Oct. 22-23, if Ironton wants to find a 10th game.

Don't forget....There is a possibility of playing a 10th game against Ripley, West Virginia in Charleston, West Virginia at Yeager Field....
