Alexander should win easily regardless of who they lost from last year.

Re: Week 1: Eastern @ Alexander
Guess that's why they play the games.....because "should" doesn't always get it done. After all, any D IV team "should" beat any D VI team......FANOSPORTS wrote:You'll see tomorrow nightDILLIGAF wrote:FANOSPORTS wrote:Alexander should win easily regardless of who they lost from last year.

Alex 21
Eastern7
Alex is just glad Fed Hock and Trimble is not on their schedule this year. No reflection on Eastern in score. They just have to fill in some key positions and will get better every week.

Will be leaving shortly to make that long cross-county trek to Albany. Almost can't get there from here!
Good luck to both teams tonight!

Re: Week 1: Eastern @ Alexander
Yes, they did, on a horse collar tackle that wasn't called. Then this officiating crew turned around and called the horse collar tackle penalty on Eastern in the second half.
I am an unbiased observer at this game, and that officiating crew had alot to be desired in terms of the quality of their calls, and the inconsistency among their calls. Yes, I know it was week one, but this was a veteran crew, and at least one of them I know, and he is always right, doesn't matter the situation, sport, or subject (even if it is not sports related). You know the old saying, some people are born buttholes and just get bigger as they age, well, that may apply to this one gentleman in particular.
It is too bad that they made some blatantly bad calls, against both teams. Let's hope that they improve between now and next Friday........

Re: Week 1: Eastern @ Alexander
just curious steely, because i also know this crew, whom you are familiar with? no names, but by position. also what qualifies you to judge their performance? are you an observer for the ohsaa? it kills me to sit in the stands and listen to people who have no idea what a rulebook even looks like berate the refs. if those people think the refs are soooo bad, they should step up and become one themself. i would love to see these "armchair officials" go out there on a friday night and do the job! anyway, in your "professional" opinion, what was so inconsistant? you mentioned a horsecollar. were you aware the horsecollar rule was changed this year for hs football? remember, hs rules are different than what you see on saturday and sunday. what makes this gentleman a butthole? perhaps the hours upon hours spent studying the rulebook, or driving hundreds of miles each year to meetings, clinics and games. maybe its sacrificing time with his family and not getting to see his own kids ballgames. was that it? could it be the money he spent to buy uniforms, gas to travel to the meetings and games, the meal on the way home? and for what? they dont get paid much, probably lose money in the longrun. yeah, that makes him a real jerk! walk in his shoes for one friday night, then come on here and spew your crap!
