I definitely miss rivalries with NY and New Lex.

Boston Field and Jim Rockwell Stadium are two of the best in Southeastern Ohio. I think Logan's program is better for updgrading the schedule, but I do kind of miss making those trips. I haven't been to either place since they were updated.

I guess you can thank Marietta for leaving the SEOAL :-D

I don't like it, but if its temporary, then its not a problem. Game 5 is usually tough to fill because most are into league schedules by then. Its not really a good game for either team, but is a monster gate. It should be a computer point bonanza. Hopefully, a better situation comes along and this game disappears.

I'm surprised someone from Ironton is on here slumming it -- N-Y is an annual champ. Fairbanks is a D-5 dump who wins nothing. No comparasion at all. In fact, N-Y is at least better than many schools in bigger division. Fairbanks is one of the weakest teams in the state and can't beat other D-6 teams either. This years schedule has SEVEN D-6 teams, 2 D-5s and brave Ironton, a D-4. They'll struggle for a winning record. Thats a total joke. But the tiggers are the tiggers. Find a win at all costs.

Just myself I love this game.

Always went to them

You can't schedule up if the teams are not there.

I like seeing Logan in the playoffs but to me it doesn't matter

Game five will have both teams a lot more ready to play-this was always an early game and at times I thought Nelsonville/York could give Logan a better game if played at a later date.

Bait,I knew when they left they would have a tough time scheduling teams as an independent,my guess is if Logan people were on your threads complaining about scheduling they were probably still frustrated they left the league again, but I agree with Locos out of them 3 choices I would definetly choose NY over the other 2,and as long as the 3 headed monster stays on there it don't look that bad to me and maybe better then before because NY would probably beat Marietta in years past...

wondering the same thing after all the talk about scheduling up.I like the game just wondering why some of the lhs faithful are not complaining about the game. the rest of southeast is armpits for doing it.kinda strange
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------exactly, that is what i'm trying to say without trying to stir crap, it was mostly logan posters riding the fighting tigers for the team , they scheduled.

If I were the Logan AD I would have chosen the game with Nelsonville as well. It is very temporary, and they needed a week 5 game. It won't benefit Logan at all, but at least it brings a huge gate.

Even though Athens is the most viable option you gotta give it to the Logan AD for not wanting to schedule them. He would rather play an old rival from a different league that was always respectable, well coached, and came to play. The only reason the rivalry ended is because the teams went in different directions in terms of size. He didn't want to play a team that essentially stabbed Logan and everyone else in their former league in the back after 80 years. A team in the same division as Logan that used the old cut and run method to play in a league with little schools. Ron Janey doesn't want Athens to make money off of Logan even if it benefits Logan. Now that is commendable.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------lets see , i'll choose paladin to respond to. since i asked people to respond with class, and everybody did but him. and i'll not stoop to calling the chiefs , the CHEFS. like you call our tigers tiggers. you must be a very lonesome miserable person, with nothing to do.i was not slumming anything. read my post dipstick.i know ny is a tough opponent. i gave them props, i know the gate will be good, and it would not suprise me to see them beat logan. not one bit. and frankly before a month ago i never heard of fairbanks. obviously our innaugural season being independant again, scheduling was gonna be a problem. but why is it okay , that you can open your pie hole, and we can't. you know how i feel , i wished we were still in the seoal, but we're not. am i still a fan, i'm pretty sure. but you, you're never happy. and most logan posters i speak with and pm with are classy. heck 2old invited me to a cookout at his home. which i attended. and had fun, at least the man was pleasant , and loved his team. you thrive on nothing more than trying to humiliate people, have i gotten on here 1 time, to gloat about logan being 0-3. no i have not. because i couldn't give a big rat's ---. i don't know what you got on the people here, to still be getting by with this, but i'll fight it all the way. to expose you.now heres my question had they not realigned d1, you would still be a d1 team. small d1 yes, but nonetheless you'd still be d1. we are 5 male students from being d5. so anybody we schedule should be cool. as witnessed by our schedule, playing the likes of nearly every seoal team, ashland, jonathon alder, and bishop hartley. we still ain't dodging people. yet, you can't sleep at night over what the tigers do. i just thought whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

LOL...........You don't have to start defending Logan playing a very good D5 School compared to Ironton playing a mediocre D5 team that was 7-3 last year (at least Irontons was a last minute fill and they were the best team available at the time), everyone knows Nelsonville York always has a quality team.

What do you think about Ironton dropping Warren and Marietta (1 playoff appearance between the 2) and picking up D4 #2 (#1 Region 15) ranked Columbus Bishop Hartley (8 playoff appearances 1 State Championship and 1 State Runner up) and D4 #17 (#7 Region 16) ranked Plain City Jonathan Alder (9 straight playoff appearances State Runner up in 2006)

I'm on board for a temporary fix. This is HS football in SE Ohio; sometimes you just need to fill the schedule. I never once said anything about Ironton and their schedule. That is an issue for Ironton administration and athletics dept. to decide. I'd rather have a game vs. no game at all and this is a good one if both schools needed the game. I'd like to see this one as a jamboree game every year, especially if Logan moves to another league and Circleville would no longer be a candidiate for a scrimmage. Then, I'd schedule Sheridan for a non-conference game.

For the crowd from Itown -- this thread isn't about you. No one cares about the tiggers. You ran, so enjoy the wilderness.

The thread is about a game Logan scheduled with N-Y. Nothing to be gained by Logan except a huge gate, but N-Y is a regular league Champ. That will at least provide computer points. Athens is a joke as a D-II & would be a bad game. I certainly hope no one is entertaining thoughts of Waverly, another who ran from the SEOAL, because in their case they were beaten unmercifully by the entire league. BTW, the N-Y game also helps to fix the "TRAVEL" problem Logan has,

Sorry, couldn't help myself !

I wonder if/when Nelsonville-York and Trimble consolidate, if a larger NY would make an annual NY-Logan game more competative?

Would depend on how big a division that brought the new school to and how competitive the new edition would be. Some consolidations are not good because it creates hard feelings in both communities and impacts the athletic dept in negative ways. There are bad consolidations all over the state with little athletic success.

I guess you couldn't answere my post because we scheduled better teams and you know it, I understand you don't want to say anything good about Ironton so you come up with that answere, the easy way out lol.

Even though Nelsonville York is a D5 team I think they will compete well with Logan next year.

Why not waverly this a down year for them anf they knew it would be.
But they are playing for next year and they should be very good next year
just a question.
I understand not scheduling Athens do to some bitterness and you would
kill Athens in all likely hood.
And I'm not putting Logan down they need to schedule the way that is best for them
but you have a poster who is always putting Ironton down for their scheduling weaker teams in his eyes but supports scheduling a team 3 levels lower than they are.
Just my wondering aloud on it.

I really don't wanna get on a thread titled "A Rivalry renewed; Logan vs Nelsonville-York, 2011" and here about Irontons schrdule. SEOP's fans from Logan and Ironton can't be in the same thread together and they KNOW it.-------------------------------------------------------

Like I said before this is a good idea every few years if both teams have trouble fillong open dates, but I hope the AD's don't decide to keep this game as a yearly thing. Logan will be back. They are having a down year and next year they may still be loading the stables but after that I think the Chiefs will be ready for another long run. I don't think Logan will be in the SEOAL in five years, so this might be a game Logan try's to keep every year cause lets face it. The MSL or even OCC doesn't travel like us hicks in the SEOAL and TVC. It will be fun and hopefully it is a great game. 10 minutes of travel for either team.
