Re: Green @ Clay 1-14-2011
What I am really happy about is the amount of 2 - 3 and 1 - 3 - 1 zone Clay has played in their past three or four games. This is something they haven't done in the past. Clay's bigs arent fast enough to play man to man against teams like Green, but they have shut down these smaller teams inside games and forced them to shoot from outside the arc. So far it has paid off well. Clay is thru the toughest part of the schedule and should get a little breather in their next few games, but I hope they don't take anyone for granted.

I too am gald to see Coach Trainer finally starting tp play some zone and use his big men to their strentghs instead of trying to make them do things they can't, like play aggressive man to man defense. Nothing against these kids, but they just don't have the quickness needed to play a tight, aggressive man to man. I'm also glad to hear he finally got rid of that darn Death Weave that was killing them at the end of the game. If he keeps them playing like they are now I can see Clay winning a lot more games, possibly winning the SOC I title, and getting a very nice seeding for the tourney.
