Don't have a dog in this race but it will come down to West or Valley both teams will be hard to stop. I dont think any other teams in the SOC 2 will be strong enough defensively to handle the pressure that these two offenses will generate.

B-dawg79,
Who will line up in the backfield for the Tigers and who will Bolin-Hitchens be throwing to? Who looks to be protecting Trevon in the pocket and opening holes for the backs to run through? I asked on the Waverly thread but haven't heard anything. Hopefully the defense can stop the run this year.

This year belongs to west I believe with all the talent they have! But......I can see Da Burg beating them in week 10 because West always gets over confident and cocky! :122246

When was the last time Valley beat Burg? It's possible to win the SOC II without winning all your conference games, but I'd like to see Valley actually beat the Pirates some day...

1. Valley
2. West
3. Burg/Minford
5. Northwest
6. Waverly

Valley gets the monkey off there back and beats the Burg 14-13.
Will maybe .... it been said sooner that later it will happen.

Waverly is going to be improved from last year, can't see Northwest beating them. Should the Tigers do well with the non-conference schedule they may have some confidence to proper them to some league wins. The schedule is not as tough as last year and another plus with 6 home games.

Piketon H
Jackson A
Western Brown A
Vinton Co H
Athens H
Valley H
Burg A
West A
Minford H
Northwest H

Forget beating wheelersburg, they hadn't scored a TD on them in decades until a year or two ago. Valley hasn't been able to beat more than one of Minford, Wheelersburg, and West since they joined the SOC II. One win against those 3 a year will not get it done.

That is the difference of playing in the SOC I and playing in the SOC II. Not taking away from the SOC I, but when you play Burg, West, Minford and Waverly (strong in the past), it is a different monster than playing smaller schools all year. Especially when you play most of them the last 5 weeks of the season.

looks like waverly showed notre dame that they have more speed and ability than they had in 7on7 yesterday so if they think waverly will lose to nw then they will get killed by them

B-dawg, I don't think Waverly has had a problem at the skill positions the past few years. The problem has been the O-line and defense. 7on7's are fine but there is no rush to worry about and if the Tigers can't run the ball what do you think defenses will do? I hope Waverly has some kids playing this year so they can put together a nice line. If there's no-one blocking for the backs to run the ball and giving Bolen-Hitchens time to throw it doesn't matter how good they look in 7on7's.

2 a days starting soon, any chance some kids are coming out who haven't been there yet?

Yes, they do have 6 home games, which is good and they will be much improved. No doubt Wright and Co. will have them ready. With the exception of Western Brown b/c IDK anythiung about take a look at the other 3 road games they more than make up for the sixth home game.
