28-21 FU at the half. It looks like Matt Smallwood for VC might have broke an ankle midway through the period.

22 for FU has 19 at the half! Have to stop him to have a chance in this one.

Thanks for the updates, as an fu fan living 6000 miles away. I appreciate it. I liked this matchup for fu, but we had really been playing poorly. But we played a very tough regular season schedule and I think it paid off tonight. Congrats to VC on a great season.

Nice win by FU. This team will most likely play Waverly?

Sorry Dundas, I missed your post. Was sitting around center court about half way up. Hated to lose, but the boys played hard. Just got beat tonight!! Congrats Ryan Chesser on a great career and be blessed in your future endeavors. Let us also acknowledge Tyler Dunlap and Dustin Holsinger. You boys displayed sportsmanship and hustle as you played on the court for the Vikings!!

I never could catch #22's name. Derick Clark it is. Great player, has the goods on offense as well as defense. FU was a tough physical team.

Congrats to The Fairfield Union Falcons, they were the better team last night and deserved to win. Their physical style of play, compounded with VC's poor shooting from the perimeter kinda told the tale. Also, loosing our starting point guard, Mathew Smallwood, and having some key players in foul trouble didn't help matters either. Props to Alex Owings and Per Smith for coming off the Viking bench and really playing with tons of heart.

In addition to the VC loss, the other incident I thought was disappointing was the off-court/fan ejection drama in the 2nd half. As fans, most of us(including myself) have yelled somethings as spectators that we probably shouldn't have done. But its reprehensible, when an adult becomes that much of a "part of the show", much less making an obscene gesture as a cop escorted them out. This doesn't make this person bad, but I think as spectators we need to constantly remember the reason we're there.....to watch the game; not become "part of the show." That's the kid's job.

Again, good game by Fairfield Union. I'm already looking forward to seeing VC next year, they'll be solid again.
