Not to be smart, but what is a sea of red in numbers. I was at the game Sat. at Meadowbrook and I seriously doubt there were 700 Trimble Fans there.

I seriously doubt you saw the visitors side bleachers and everyone standing from endzone to endzone

Either your vision needs checked or your counting isn't that good. The visitors side bleachers were full and darn near everyone standing was for Trimble

Brad Smith leads the Flyers with 1,822 rushing yards and Devin Smith contributes 1,555 yards on the ground. Carper is 43-of-86 passing for 684 yards and has thrown 11 touchdown passes.

The St. Paul defense consists of Rospert and junior Logan Moffit (6-1, 185) at the ends, VanDootingh and junior Jacob Ruffing (5-10, 195) at the tackles, Devin Smith and junior Jim Easler (5-9, 155) at the outside linebackers, Nickoli and sophomore Derek Gross (5-9, 155 at the inside linebackers, Fritz and senior Grant Dilger (5-8, 155) at the cornerbacks and Carper returns at safety.

Trimble line up in the wish bone and run it down there throat and victory is their's

I'm going with the Flyers on this one. They will be too much for Trimble. St. Paul has a tough team that has a great coaching staff, one of the best in Ohio under John Livengood. They'll have a tremendous following...like every year. They're familiar with going deep in the playoffs. They almost beat Huron in week 2 which is the team that defeated the Clyde Fliers, another respected team. Trimble hasn't really played anyone that has truly tested them, besides Shadyside and if you look at Shadysides schedule....they haven't really played anyone challenging either. When you think of powerhouse football for the lower Divisions in Ohio there are a couple teams that come to mind. Delphos St John's, Norwalk St Paul, and Maria Stein ML...etc. These teams have a great tradition for outstanding football at that level.

No offense, but this group of young men were the same ones on the field versus Berlin Center & Marion Local last year - they have been tested plenty.

From just looking at there line up I think just like posted above we line up in the bone and run. Personally I would like to see the same offensive game plan we had last week.

Don't underestimate their size, if you think the Flyers have a weakness on the D-line you are mistaken. They play as a team with great coaching, that is their strength. There is no one or two man show, that's not how they play. I do realize that Trimble beat Berlin Center, who beat St Paul last season. St Paul has a better all around team this season. If we are going to talk about the past...how many state championships does Trimble have....or State appearances? Or even playoff appearances?

SP I have followed lower division football in Ohio for 20 years. I am sure SP is well respected locally. However I must stop you when you compare the SP program to ML OR ST Johns. Neither of these teams are in theft category. I suspect in your head you know that. In your heart go ahead and dream on.

I did not say they were better than them, you are correct as far as winningest programs. But as far as "powerhouse" schools go who are always in the runnings and rarely miss a beat, I would have them on the list.
