Because of all the injured players fairland has and the dragons last year didn't seem to care if they ran the score up on opponents, actually it seems like the last few years...every chance they got. Burg don't run the score up like a lot of schools do, sadly. I like that Burg has a little compassion towards the teams they play and NOT run scores up to make them seem tougher! So I see valley winning this one 60s or 70s to 0! depending on how many tds the freshmen get againts fairland in the second half???? and that will make them look tougher than Da Burg!

maybe valley should rest their varsity and just play their jv and freshmen for this game to give the soph and fresh on the dragons team a little better game?
then the score will be more like 42-20 i would think?

If 31 points is "running the score up," I would hate to hear what you say about Valley (33pts) or Coal Grove (42pts) since both of their teams beat you by even more considerable margins.
Valley and Coal Grove did not have their stud muffins in to return kicks so late in the game! Fairland was running fake punts late in the second half when the game was already very lop sided! Not once but it happened twice.

So you believe having your premier back Campbell in the game to run back a kickoff with less than 20 seconds on the clock a smart move. I mean the Pointers really could have made up that deficit in so many seconds. I call it like I see it. It was dumb coaching move and he is lucky the boy didn't get hurt!. You had like 40 kids on the team there wasn't another kid who could return a kick off? Campbell had already took a punt to the house on a return. Karma baby karma!

Fairland led 55- 13 at the half, 74-25 at the end of the 3rd quarter. During the 3rd quarter you had 3 starters score Sowards Sr. Murphy Jr. and Campbell Jr. If that is not running up the score I don't know what is! South Point did score 21 late in the game to make it a little more respectable.

GAMEDAY!

Lets hope the Indians start fast, put up some points and get a good lead. Get some younger guys in there to get some work and the starters a little rest headed into league play.

Indians 40
Dragons 8

Let's hope everyone stays healthy. We cannot afford anymore injuries.

I don't care how bad we get beat, as long as all the boys come home on the bus and all in one piece.

Valley in a rout in this one ... Fairland can't seem to stop anyone at this point, sure they can score points but at some point you have to play defense.

Valley 61
Fairland 22

I was 4 points off...about what I expected. Fairland plays hard, just way down with the Injuries. Running clock most 2nd half.

Valley now 5-0 with the Waverly Tigers on deck.
