Always good to get a win over the Fighting Tigers, but the FT shooting for the Trojans must improve. WIRO had PHS 17 for 28 at the line, and that kept Ironton in the game. IHS is in a rebuilding year after losing their starting 5 and the 6th man from a year ago. I have watched IHS vs. Valley and Portsmouth, and right now Joe Bowling and Tristan Cox are their best players.
Series is now 84-64 in favor of Portsmouth.

I hope I'm wrong too. Not sure if they can keep up with Eastern, Fairland, or Africentric in terms of scoring. Then they have Notre Dame which can be a win, though.

I think Dez does a nice job underneath at the center position. He has came a long way. When they have Tristan and Bowling in along with the two black guards...they seem to be playing Ironton basketball. But, they pulled out of that and went into a big package and that just doesn't work. Too slow, no footwork, no hands. Maybe Mr. Lafon is trying to get some kids experienced. I'm not sure, but when Ironton cut the lead to 5 points with the earlier mentioned group, I thought yes, we have five kids who are understanding how to play coach Lafons game.
