Boston maybe steaming mad, but it is up to the kids how they will react. Also Wellston may show up fired up and takes it to the Bucks early. This is a very even game that will be a low scoring, one possession game.

On a serious note Wellston is a young team suffering highs and lows . They are getting better, last week on defense 5 seniors 1 of which this is his first year of football since jr high. 3 soph, 2 freshman. Offense 4 seniors 1 jr ,2 soph,3 freshman. Roster 10 seniors ,3 jrs , 30 soph & freshman. I hope my Rockets can go into buchtel and get the win.
There is a Senior wearing #26 who played all 4 quarters in a JV game and scored all but 1 of the touchdowns against us who should be playing with the varsity on fridays Boiler. I heard it was to punish him for quitting earlier in the season. It seems to me the he had a blast running all over and around Freshmen and Sophomores and the only ones who were punished were Wellston's younger backs who should have been playing. Not your fault Boiler but there is something wrong with that. That kid could help the Varsity because he is super fast.
I hope your joking
Nope not Joking. And if he asked to play he should have been told no! I usually love your opinion Boiler but I cant get behind this one. That kid sscored 4 td 's and Wellston only beat us by 2 scores. Karma is a funny thing. I know parents in Wellston who aren't happy about a senior playing instead of their kids and also there are some Wellston JV players who were not Happy about it. And you are right this is a Nelsonville vs. Wellston thread so I will get back to that and say no more about our JV game. I usually never pull for one TVC team over another except for VC but I am now. I am rooting for NY and every one else Wellston plays till that coach is gone. That was Bush league. Nothing against boiler or louie or the kids. Just cant get behinde a coach who runs his program like that.

Oh don't worry, I have heard the kids are mad, and are ready to put it on someone. So look out Wellston. Go Bucks!

All Vc people root against Wellston . Nothing new and I could care less. I als believe JV is for kids who do not play Varsity no matter the grade . Im sure it happens at other schools . Enough on this matter ill be silent again like most of this season . Just not worth it people have opinions like them or not .

GO Rockets :!:

Transplant, I've always respected you as a poster on this site. You seem like your a true fan and for the kids. This subject you brought up,.. you gave a number of a player of wellston. Whether you think so or not, these kids read these posts. Posts that are more than not idiotic and will make you more ignorant by reading them. Sometimes reading some of the posts on here is comparable to the the time i watched an interview of Mike Tyson. Transplant, i dont think your one of these posters,.. but by giving out a players # and saying the stuff you said is surprising to me. You dont know the situation of this player or the thoughts of the coaching staff. Kids deserve to play,.. PERIOD. If a senior dont play on varsity then he should be able to play jv. Go thru winter workouts,.. summer conditioning,... 2 a days. Probably playing scout team the whole time,.. he deserves to play the game. There is no rule that a senior cannot play JV! No Rule. If a senior busts his butt but isn't good enough to play varsity, he should be able to play JV, without people posting and giving his number out for everyone to see on a public site for the players to read. You can root for every team against wellston from here on out like you stated, but I still wish V.C. good luck against Meigs. Im sure it will be a great game. Since this is a N'ville/Wellston thread ,.. i think this game will be a great game also. Wellston has to be more disciplined in all 3 phases of the games. Very winable game for wellston

fans throwing buckeyes and striped shirts will be the least to the Rockets worries Friday night. Coach Boston is so mad about what happened at Meigs that he will have these players spitting fire on game night. Someone has to serve as the whipping boy after Meigs did the crap they did, and the officials made those calls, and sorry for you it will be Wellston.
You seriously need a tissue, You sound like a whiny little girl complaining about what Meigs did. I've seen Boston go for 2 many times when He didn't need to.

You saw what our Jr High did to yours. You know many of our freshmen are now playing varsity. So you know what is coming to you down the road, and maybe as early as next season. So enjoy your poor mouthing while it lasts, cause it wont last for long.

Okay!!!!

For the record, NY only starts a couple of Freshman and a couple others get playing time!

THATS IT!!
I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE USING IT AS AN EXCUSE AND TRYING TO ACT LIKE WE ARE STARTING A WHOLE TEAM OF FRESHMAN.......

NY is having a down year, get over it, it happens.
There are a lot of teams who play more Freshman and Sophomors than us and are doing much better!!

EXCUSES ARE LIKE A**HOLES, EVERYONES GOT ONE BUT SOME ARE BIGGER THAN OTHERS.

South Point has kids who have played JV that are seniors and juniors but these are kids who aren't athletically able to play on Fridays nights. These are kids who are first year players or just not real talented so it does happen. But to play a kids on JV as a punishment to him who played varsity earlier, is wrong.

Great post Orange and Brown. It happens to everyone. NY is just not used to being down. No one said they had to like it but there are a lot of excuses flying this year.
Heck Trimble and Athens both had a ton of young kids starting last year and made it to week 12 and 13. They didn't use it as an excuse. NY needs to just focus on getting better every game and develop that young talent they do have.
Ny wins at home this week 20- 13

Yes, all area schools should aspire to demonstrate the same level of unbiased, non-homerish, fair balanced, by-the-book officiating that is displayed at all Wellston home football games. I can't recall one biased call against NY or any other team on Wellston's home field, so let's all try to live up to their lofty standards. :122248

I do see Wellston winning this one.

My comment on the officials and bukeyes being thrown are directed soly at ground buck he is on every Wellston thread saying that about Wellston. When he shouldn't be commenting at all.
On the Game ,it should be a good game between two young teams trying to find a way to win .
GO ROCKETS!!!!
