Athens over Logan
Wellston over Jackson in my upset alert special. Last time Wellston had a first year coach they shocked the Ironmen; This year is happens again. Take it to the bank.

I wonder if the SEOAL will still call itself the SEOAL or the SEOSTL? Southeastern Ohio Soccer and Tennis League.
Or you could have SEOstAL - Southeastern Ohio soccer & tennis Affiliate League.

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
I'm right or you wouldn't say that.....each x SEOAL team that is in the TVC left because they were almost at the bottom each year. If those had not left the SEOAL would not have had to take in Z,I, P and C. Athens,Wellston,Meigs and NY left for a smaller and weaker league. The main reason the TVC is looking better over the last several year is because just about every place is a small town now like the schools in the TVC. Now that the OVC has Gallipolis, Ironton and Portsmouth they will compete and have a winning percentage against any conference in southeastern Ohio.
I can't blame you for having a big head over the way the SEOAL is now. You backed a conference that most of the time would come out on the short end of the stick when going up against the SEOAL Even if the SEOAL shuts down the overall history will always have the SEOAL a league that would come out on top of the TVC.

The SEOAL didn't need to add Zanesville,Portsmouth Ironton and chillicothe....
Jackson tried to leave before Gallia or Portsmouth did.
The success of the schools in the TVC has less to do with TVC and more to do with the dedication of the athletes and coaches in those sports (as with most leagues).
The SEOAL has no o e to blame but all the schools who voted yes to expansion.
I'm not thrilled the SEOAL is gone, but I sit back and laugh my butt off because you guys blame everyone but yourselves.
Besides, now Logan can play all Northeast Ohio schools.
If you wanna talk about the SEOAL, talk about some of the great athletes that came from some of the schools, or some of the great league games that have happened over the last 80 years. That's much more interesting than reading excuses as to why the league is collapsing.

Nelsonville is the original cut and run!!! How many football titles would they have in the SEOAL? Basketball would be a goose egg, boys or girls, they struggle to even field a team another year. (I will give them props last two years in wrestling), they wouldn't sniff a title in any other sport in that time (maybe Robey's one year in VB, maybe).

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
Current SEOAL schools will see further decline in their success as more and more student-athletes matriculate to TVC and SOC schools.
Look for Logan families to consider NY-Athens-VC as options and Jackson families to consider Wellston and Oak Hill as options. This trend will start slow and gain steam within next year or so...you heard it hear first.
The rise of the TVC is in full swing.

I still think my 36 team super conference with 18 2 team divisions would have really put us on the map.
Then everyone can schedule 9 NE Ohio teams
We could have crossover games but I'm not sure our old friend Palidon (the assistant commissioner) would approve. Our 1 league game will be playedon Thursday nights to keep our ccommissioner 93bulldog happy.

Prediction:
Within the next year, Marietta announces they are coming back to the SEOAL and they reform the league with 4 teams (Jackson, Logan, Warren).

Zanesville may be pushing it, especially for Jackson being a 2 hour drive to and from Zanesville. It's not as bad for Logan (70 minutes), Marietta (65 minutes), and Warren (80 minutes).noreply66 wrote:Zanesville could join that travel listteach1coach2 wrote:Prediction:

Zanesville will not want it because of basketball and longer road trips over bad roads. I see Marietta coming back too. Long overdue.
