I understand your point about Daniels and you are justified because he is a great player, but seriously, you are comparing Nevada and Buffalo to say Cal and Notre Dame?

Illinois is the only team with a heart beat compared to MSU's schd.

Cal, Notre Dame, and Indiana is much more difficult than Nevada, Buffalo, and SW Mizzou St.

If you don't recognize that than I can't take you serious.

I think if you nominate Tebow at this point it would have to be a combo nomination with he and Harvin. I don't have Florida envy or hatred b/c they kicked our butts and even moreso outcoached us in the NC game, that was then this is now. Fact is Tebow is having a horrible season so far and not just comparing his numbers from this year to last but in comparison to others on the list. Seriously when you compared Archie to Anthony Davis it was a 19 yard difference. Tebow to other potential candidates is no comparison. This week was a good week but the others have been subpar. TD runs from the 2 don't impress many football fans, who go them to the 2 is what is impressive. In the bowl game last year Tebow didn't meander in from the 2 on very many occasions like he did all year, why? b/c they didn't get inside the 5 that much and he couldn't get loose from outside the red zone and take it to the house.

Still Daniels as of today.
Ringer is closing.

Just throwing this out since some seem to be so enamored with Daniels.

Max Hall, BYU, QB---15tds, 1 int, 74% comp%
Colt McCoy----14tds, 1 int, 80% comp%

Tebow is completing 61% of passes with 6 TD and 0 INT. He also has 2 rushing TD's. His schedule, as of now, has been far more difficult than that of stat-padding Chase Daniel. His rating is 105.4, which is top 30 in the NCAA. To say his season has been horrible is a complete overstatement. He simply hasnt been the Tebow of last year because the coaches are pressing him to stay in the pocket and become more of a passing QB. His transition could be a reason their offense has stalled. Also, the loss of TE/WR Cornelius Ingram was a big loss as he was their main target over the middle of the field and was a hard matchip for all teams. Im not saying his numbers are deserving of the Heisman, but give him credit for what he has done.

Percy Harvin is UF's best player.

He was their best player last year too, Tebow just put up better numbers because Percy was hurt all season.

Percy is a WR who is Florida's best RB. Florida needs a RB who can run between the tackles. The two running backs who can do that, Kehstahn Moore and Emmanuel Moody, have fumble-itis and want to run too much to the outside like their speed backs, Harvin, Brandon James, Chris Rainey, and Jeff Demps. Moore and Moody need to realize their role.

At least we all agree that Harvin is the best player on the team and MAY end up in NY if he remains healthy and they don't lose too many games. He is a freak. Tebow is far from being a pocket passer, even with Harvin to throw to. Most average QBs can throw the 10 yard stuff or bubble screens w/o trouble.

I sure hope no one truely thinks Tebow is an average QB. I think he has not had the luxury of having Harvin the entire year, and that is probably why he is having an average year thus far, more than his skills have dropped off.

I'D SAY JAVON RINGER FROM MSU. IF TERREL PRYOR KEEPS IT UP, HE MAY BE THE FIRST FROSH TO WIN IT.

Colt McCoy at this moment is last seasons Tim Tebow. Even with a game against a bad Arkansas team cancelled, his stats are unreal.

Stat line:
197.4 passer rating, 1239 yds, 9.5 per completion, 79.2% completion percentage, 16tds, 3 ints, 317 rushing yards, 7.4 yards per rush, 4 tds.

My ballot would look like this:
1. McCoy
2. Bradford
3. Daniels
4. Ringer
5. J. Williams or Max Hall

I'm holding off on McCoy until he plays better defenses. Namely this week with Oklahoma.

I'm not a fan of having one game decide the trophy, but McCoy has not faced what I'd consider a tough D yet.

Bradford will likely have good number vs Texas, he has talented and veteran WRs, while Texas is starting 2 freshmen at Saftey.

I think you'll see McCoy, who is a junior now, step up and win a big game. He is the leading passer and rusher for the Longhorns, someone else will have to step up.

I haven't seen Bradford play a team with a pulse yet either, so that is why I am little hesitant to pull the trigger on him.

Good point, this will be the first test for both teams. Colorado maybe for Texas, but not a true test.
Kind of like Mississippi being a test for Flor...
... never mind.
