no doubt they were both blasting each other, but that would be a fool hearted way to lose a heisman candidate in terrell pryor.

Three out of four ain't bad. Lambeau Field is a must for any serious NFL fan. Take the tour, eat the chili in Curly's Pub and get a Cheesehead from the Pro Shop (one of the best!).gahs4ever wrote:Ive been to Camp Randall. Those people are nuts! But what else is there to do in Wisconsin but eat Brats, cheese, and the Packers and Badgers.
Re: Week 3 OSU vs Ohio U
OSU should win easily.
This should be a home and home series, not one that takes place everytime in Columbus. Let Athens make some money off the game instead of Columbus getting all of it.

I agree. Unlike the Marshall game, where I believe Tress was sending a message, I think this game stays under 28 spread.Orange and Brown wrote:Bucks will be up by 17 at the half and win by 20...Tress won't run it up.

Where do you expect the fans to sit? I mean they can only sell as many seats as they have right?Mister B wrote:OSU should win easily.

OU makes a bundle off of coming to Columbus to get their butts kicked.Mister B wrote:OSU should win easily.

Athens makes a bundle off of OSU students coming down to OU to buy more weed.
OSU is never going to go to Peden stadium to play a game.

Give me one good reason why OSU can't play at OU in football at Athens? They make the trip in other sports.seofan_via_dublin wrote:OU makes a bundle off of coming to Columbus to get their butts kicked.Mister B wrote:OSU should win easily.

Re: Week 3 OSU vs Ohio U
Peden doesn't hold enough people thats why! OSU will not play in a 42,000 seat venue for non conference games. Ohio will make enough money to pay for wrestling and Volleyball this year. I would love to see OSU come to athens but where are we going to put all those people?Mister B wrote:Give me one good reason why OSU can't play at OU in football at Athens? #1 Alabama is playing at Duke this weekend which seats less than 34,000.
If Alabama can play a far lesser program on the road at their home stadium, why can't OSU do the same?

Re: Week 3 OSU vs Ohio U
OU's Byrd Arena seats far less than OSU's hockey facility but that doesn't keep OSU from coming to Athens to play hockey.
OSU mens basketball has played in the Convo before, why not give OU the pleasure of hosting a football game. Tickets would be far cheaper for the OSU in Athens than they would be in Columbus.

Re: Week 3 OSU vs Ohio U
Ohio State has the largest athletic budget in the country. Playing at Ohio or Duke isn't going to help pay the bills. It is far cheaper for them to pay these schools off to play at the Shoe than go there and play.
The convo holds 11,000 which isn't to bad for basketball.
Only real hockey fans care about OSU hockey. More people show up at bird to Watch Ohios CLUB hockey team than show up at most OSU hockey games.
With all that being said we all know that football pays the bills.

Convo holds just over 13,102 (give or take literally one or two).
Ohio University is not funding 100% of its operating budget from student general fees. What a bargin!

It isn't cheaper to pay OU off to play at the Shoe, it generates more money for OSU to play OU at the Shoe.
If Alabama, the defending National Champion and #1 ranked team in the country can go to Duke, which is out of state, why can't OSU play 1 game at OU?
Alabama is giving up the revenue from 1 game to play at Duke, surely OSU isn't so hard pressed for cash that they can play one of the other D1 schools from Ohio on their campus instead of playing at a pro stadium in Cincinnati or Cleveland.

When schools stop taking the payoff then OSU will Travel. Ohio doesn't seem to have a problem with it so take it up with them to. You can't just blame OSUMister B wrote:It isn't cheaper to pay OU off to play at the Shoe, it generates more money for OSU to play OU at the Shoe.

The Buckeyes don't give a crap what Bama does with their schedule.
When OU wants to get out of the scheduling welfare line, and stop taking the fund raiser,
then talk to me about it.
Until then schedule crap teams that have fans and will travel to OU, like Marshall or WVU.
Re: Week 3 OSU vs Ohio U
Last 40 years the Tide has won 5 National titles to OSU's 1.
Maybe OSU needs to look at how Alabama makes their schedule work to their advantage.
If OSU fans want respect from others and the national media, then maybe they should try and give some respect to some other programs instead of saying to "schedule crap teams that have fans and will travel"
