Siderman, do you really want to make this statement regarding a "weak schedule"? These two teams played almost the exact same schedules. The only difference is we played Ironton and Oak Hill while West played Chesapeake and South Point. Oak Hill finished 2-8 while SP finished 1-9 and the Oaks would have mopped the field with South Point and Ironton would do the same with Chesapeake. If the Burg had played Peake instead of Ironton I believe they would have beaten them and therefore would be in the playoffs just like the Siders. The way I see it we actually played a tougher schedule than West, just you guys beat Peake and we lost to Ironton.People picked that based off of who they played the year before. Burg is well coached and compete, but that was the worst wheelersburg team that I've ever seen. Shears is a fine athlete, maybe the best around. The Millers are good. Other than that they didn't have much. If this team played the 2010 schedule, which I understand they didn't, they probably do go 5-5 with losses to Oak Hill and Minford. What I mean is the 7-3 record is a reflection of the schedule weakness. They may be better next year, but I still think they struggle for at least 1 more year compared to burg standards.
