ABC yanked Big Shots from its sked, but were quickta say it was returning after the sweeps. We shall see.......

The writers' strike will place everything in a new light. cancellations may not be too quick, as the nets won't have anything with which to replace cancelled shows except reruns, which would go over like a dead fish in a punch bowl. We might get stuck with a buncha reality trash.

But I don't really care...I got 3 ESPNs, military channels, & all kindsa vidgames...not to mention this PC!

Traveler was cancelled back in July. That's one I missed. But here's a link to an answer blog which is by its producer & gives closure to the show:

if the writers' strike is prolonged, many shows will simply be laid aside, and could be temporarily replaced with (ugh!) reality crap. Shore am gladta have 155 channels , X-Box 360, and Wii available for indoor entertainment, as well as these computers!

Spike TV cancelled Kill Point, which ran this past summer, citing the writers' strike. Methinx the REAL reason is that they wanted to go backta cheap reality crap.

Emeril Live! is leafing the Food network after 10 years. Negotiations between Emeril & the show's execs broke down, & the last show will be Dec. 11.

Essence Of Emeril will continue to be made & aired.

Loox as if ABC is yanking Big Shots. While cancellations are down dueta the writers' strike, ABC has apparently given up on this show, as it's off their sked again.

DirecTV is apparently ending Passions. They'd ordered 52 new eps, but apparently these'll be the LAST 52 new eps, & they're dropping from 4 to 3 air times per week, apparently to extend the season long enough to cover all the year-long subscriptions to DirecTV, to avoid bait-n-switch charges.

While NBC is shopping for a new home for passions, it's unlikely they'll find another, because its cult following is not large enough to prompt sponsors to spend big bux on it.

Apparently, NBC has cancelled Journeuman by "pocket veto". They had until yesterday to order additional eps besides the 13 eps now "in the can". & they faildta act, which effectively cancels the show after all 13 initial eps have aired.

BTW, NBC was quick to announce that the last 2 eps of Journeyman will air as scheduled.

While several shows have already been given full-schedule committments by their respective nets, the ongoing writers' strike has prevented any new eps of any scripted shows from being made, but most nets already have all the first series of eps "in the can" to fill theis skeds thru the first weex of January.

Loox as if the writers' strike may drag on into Spring '08. Thank You, Lord, for religious shows, sports and video games to fill the gap! Those awful dating/relationship reality shows have come from the opposite direction of heaven!

Seems the USA net is on a cancellation roll. They've now cancelled The Dead Zone after 6 seasons.

Appears Bionic Woman is now history, although there's no official outright announcement of such. The major nets are reluctant to announce cancellations with the writers' strike ongoing, but when a set is dismantled & the cast/crew of a given show move on to other work, it's a safe bet that show's done.

BTW, the gosh-awful Cavemen is still waiting in the wings, not cancelled yet! And ABC is bringing back that pieca codwallop The Mole! "What hath God ROT?"

Apparently, "Power of 10" has bitten the dirt. Watch'em fall like leaves once the writers' strike ends! Lotsa garbage shows now being used as fillers will be axed.

Mister Roby: How solid of ground is the ABC show, October Road on? I kind of like the program, but have no idea what kind of ratings it gets

"October Road" is scheduled to return Monday, feb.4. While its ratings have slipped, it still has enough viewers, some 10 million for the last ep, to keep it around awhile.

It's had a plum slot behind the immensely popular "Gray's Anatomy". Let's see how it does on its own.

The "Montel Williams Show" is going outta production, but it'll still air fresh eps all spring, and CBS says it's gonna run a "Best of Montel" series for at least a year after production shuts down.

They only have 17 years of eps to choose from!
