Such hate and discontent. I said it when the topic first came up - don't offer Ironton an invitation. My rationale was simply league pride. In the 80s Ironton left because the league wasn't good enough for Ironton fooball. Now, Ironton didn't deserve the opportunity to leave again but the league allowed themselves to be fooled again.
The reason Bob Lutz doesn't like the SEOAL as much as being an independant is simple. He wants to control the schedule so you don't play tough games each week. Far better to split those games around cupcakes so you don't have to get up every week. It makes good sense if you want to go to the playoffs every year. Schedule 4 or 5 quality opponens divided by 4 or 5 not so quality teams allowing you to take a breather now and then. Not dogging him for being smart, mind you, I think it's a great formula for long term success. Woody always did the same thing at OSU. Problem with the league is you end up playing a stretch like Jackson, Gallia, Chillicothe, Portsmouth and Logan. No one can be expected to run that gauntlet unscathed very often. Just from a physical aspect even when those teams are down, they're physical and those bumps and bruises do have an ongoing effect on your team.

Thanks for the laugh. I have been reading that next year comment for three years now. I think ironton and Chicago, and Cleveland fans all have the same dictionary. WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR.
Logan will DOMINATE this like even more next year. No wonder you guys all want to cut and run. Problem is you are stick stuck taking your beat down next year. Don't make the trip. It will be ugly.
BTW, check me out i am perfect on predicting Logan. You have been here two years. Logan has to titles as i predicted. Next year will be the third.

Do you notice the grinches are busy. Not only editing my post but gee now they seem to disappaerr too. Must be an editor and a magician. What i said was ironton had to get out of the league in the 80's to make the playoffs and now in the 2000'ss ironton has to get out of the league again to make the playoffs. Funny how that works. What goes around comes around.

I don't think Ironton would leave because of the lack of domination.
IMO, I like Ironton in the SEOAL, but if you don't wanna be here, GET OUT!
SEE YA, DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA.....
