A.J. Frost really stepped it up against Ripley, scoring almost half of West Union's points. Unfortunatly, Ripley had another great night of shooting which was too much for us to keep up with. Hopefully Frost will continue to improve and become the player we need for the next couple of years.

Wow, pretty suprised to see the score to this game. It seems like Lychburg and Fairfield both have up and down nights pretty regular.

I like seeing big nights out of young players like the two sophmores for Lynchburg. The two leading scores for Lynchburg were Sophmores, Inman with 24 points 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and Gage Waits with 16 points.

It seems like there is alot of great young talent in the league right now with Justice, Frost, Iles, Waits, Inman, and Smith(Man), just to name a few, all stepping up big for their teams this year. It's exciting to see that this league will have some really good teams for the next few years.

Manchester over Fayetteville 83-50. Scoring: Combs 28, Gaffin 17 (double-double C103 Player of the Game) West 14, Ricketts & Adams 8. I'm impressed with how much Gaffin's game has improved over the past few weeks. The Hounds led by as much as 37 before the starters were pulled. Illes had around 23 for the Rockets.

Lynchburg beat Hillsboro by 1 today and North Adams lost a surprising one to Northwest.

What happened to North Adams? The SHL really took a shot to the stomach last night with this game! Good thing LC and Fairfield handled themselves well.

While compiling articles from this season for scrapbook purposes, I have been so disappointed with our local newspaper coverage of Peebles Basketball games. Out of 18 games there are only articles for five games (Manchester 12/9, West Union 12/16, Manchester 12/30, Ripley 1/6, and Eastern 2/10). I've gotten more information from Portsmouth Daily Times and the Ledger-Independent in Maysville. That's pretty sad. I'd like to see someone start a blog to cover all the games. There are a few posters on here that would be great candidates for that, you know who you are. :122249
