I don’t see Minford losing to RH, peake, wellston, oak hill, northwest, or Meigs. So 3-4 wins is a bit pessimistic, we shall see.
They’ll get blasted week 1 at Rock Hill

RH can’t blast anyone
[/quote]

Sure they can, blasted a bad Symmes Valley & Oak Hill last year. I assume they’ll blast those 2 again, Minford seems like a good candidate to get blasted with low numbers, not much experience or depth. I think Rock Hill will go around 5-5 to 6-4.

Likely to be a hard year for my beloved Falcons. With low numbers we may be looking at cancelled games if injuries start happening. Give the guy at least four years before he starts getting heat and see what he can do.

The good news is the youth program is going back to intersquad play this year. Something that they should have never went away from. When you go to a game and see less than 30 dressed, remember that’s what chasing Super Bowls and youth ‘state championships’ gets you.

Minford's numbers aren't that low to where you're going to talk about canceled games though. My guess they'll be in that 27-35 player range, once he gets established a bit more numbers could rise but he's going to have to prove himself not to the community but to the kids, they've got to want to play for the new guy.

That's kind of where I'm putting RH this year as well, 5-6 win team and yes they'll beat Minford week 1. I've heard Minford is could be mainly utilizing a 3 man front and last I checked they didn't have world beaters on that DL to be able to handle stopping the rushing attack, they haven't been able to stop it and now with all the guys they've graduated and lost I see that being a major issue this year.

All of this talk about potential transfers out. Let’s not forget that Minford is bordered by Oak Hill and Jackson districts too. I doubt any will move to a worse situation in OH, but the top end talent at Minford could help Jackson. Some of those jr high kids have played jackson for years in sports growing up.

All of what talk about potential transfers out?? I think there was talk of 1, 8th grader transferring out nothing about anyone else the talk was limited to guys simply not playing.

Why wouldn’t they? Minford lost a TON, numbers are down, meaning depth will be down. New coach, new staff probably means new system. Said coach is young, first gig, unproven. Rock Hill does return a few nice players, new coach but experienced, winning pedigree, will have more players meaning more depth. Game is at Rock Hill, I’ll be more shocked if Minford wins this game rather than if they lose.

Work took me to the Rock Hill area last week and have to say I haven’t seen this kind of excitement at RH for football in quite awhile. Now whether that equates to a bunch of wins only time will tell but it seems the new coach has brought some much needed energy and excitement.

Was told they have a little over 20 kids, if my source is right that doesn't look good for the falcons.

OUCH...I know of at least 3-4 kids that would be juniors this year not playing. Heard a 7-7 they had there was about 15-16 skilled players there so maybe the numbers are off a bit still thinking you'll see upper 20s. If it's low 20s it's going to be a VERY long year for Muletown.

Really, based on what?? Minford only beat them by 10 in week 1, by seasons end Rock Hill beat Chesapeake by 12 and the Peake beat Minford in week 2. Minford lost so much that I don't even think Muletown realizes how bad some of the scores are going to be this year not to mention losing to teams they wouldn't expect to lose to. Rock Hill is one of them week 1 book it Rock Hill by 2 scores.

Seems to be nothing posted anywhere, but if we go off the date of the first game I would say

At piketon 8/9 7pm
Vs Fairland 8/16 7pm

Any updates from the Minford camp, if they expect to cruise over Rock Hill they're potentially in for a rude awakening.

Yikes. Numbers are about what I’ve been hearing. QB departure must be a new development. Last I heard the QB had never played the position before so not sure where that leaves them. I really hope the community is patient with the new coach and doesn’t get the pitchforks out before he has a chance.

I’m not really in the know with Minford, I heard this from a family member who is in the know I guess lol. Yeah from my understanding he was a TE before, and didn’t play last season due to injury maybe? Either way it hurts to go through most of the summer with a QB and then he’s gone right before you start scrimmaging.
