They close really quick on the short routes. Yes we can gain yards there. But when they start to play the short routes tight, we will hit em with the pump and go. Also, like I just said a few posts ago. The deep ball is there. They play man all night. When they are spread out there is only the second level. So if we can gash them up the middle a few times they may try to play run first and make them more susceptible to the long ball.yabbadabbadoo wrote: Wed Nov 22, 2017 11:12 pmbleed_blue wrote: Wed Nov 22, 2017 10:46 pmI noticed in the Oakwood game that Oakwood threw for 495 yards.Jolly P(irate) wrote: Wed Nov 22, 2017 6:07 pm Here are some stats I’ve found for Madison on the year.

WOW!!!!!
That is insane. Butter and the rest of the WR crew should have a field day then. Burg just needs to stick to the short passes and rely on the YAC to move the ball down the field. They will have to play off the ball so as not to get burnt.
Another thing I’ve noticed. Arm tackles. CHCA and WJ both didn’t tackle well and they ran right through them. Anna hit and wrapped. Yes it was a mud bowl, but they tackled well.
