A massive air-sea search for a missing Norweigian man has been called off after the man was found sitting drunk in his mother's living room, watching television. His wrecked and empty boat had been found hours earlier,after witnesses reported hearing a crash. Police took a sample of the boater's blood and said that regardless of the results, he can "at least expect repercussions for not reporting the accident."

An unemployed Colombian man has sewn his mouth shut and locked himself into an iron mask as a political protest. Luis Miguel Aldana, 52, donned the mask after he and his three children were evicted from his Bogota apartment. Explaining the complex symbolism of his gesture,Aldana, speaking through the corner of his month, said 'I'm doing this to get attension, because people have a heart of iron and also a face of iron."
