The way I see it is it doesn't matter when you play teams. if you get an easy game in week 11 chances are you are going to get a tough team week 12. If NY would win 1 or 2 games they might have to face Valley anyways, if not Valley then a team that beat Valley...I don't care if NY gets in with the 8th seed or the 1 seed.,, they have to beat who ever is seeded across from them.
I personally think Burg will jump to the 3rd spot and NY will stay 6th so a burg NY matchup would be interesting.

Im not sure if Valley is in with a loss vs. Minford.....but I think the Indians win this week anyways.

The loser of that game is almost surely out.

Indeed.

It looks like the winner of this game would get Coal Grove at their place, although things could happen and Coal Grove could have to play the winner on the road.

Minford has Coal Grove's number and Valley hammered them earlier this year. I think the winner of Friday's game has the easiest road to the regional semis if it works out this way.

Nothing against the Hornets, but I think they are alot weaker than alot of the teams that are not going to make it to week 11. Greenup Co gave them a ton of points.

Not going to argue with a word of that. Until Coal Grove puts up their dukes and gets back to competing with and actually beating teams around here that they should be able to beat (Burg, Minford, Gallipolis, Etc) no one should take them seriously. Yes, I'm glad to see my Hornets make back to back playoff appearances (assuming they win Friday), but Id be lying if I told you I thought they had a legitimate shot at beating Burg or Valley this year. From what I've seen, I do think they can potentially beat Minford or NY. Things aren't getting any worse though. Remember, CG usually beats Valley and has never been blown out by Minford. The program has been getting stronger.

Pasteur's site is updated.

Projected seeds:
1) Oak Hill (no worse than #2; needs minimal help for #1)
2) Fredericktown (locked into top 2; needs lots of help for #1)
3) Wheelersburg (likely #3 or #4 with a win; needs tons of help with a loss)
4) Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove) (#3-#6 if they win; #6-#8 if not)
5) Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville) (#4-#6 with a win; needs help to be #8 with a loss)
6) Ridgewood (West Lafayette) (#5-#7 if 10-0; probably out if they get upset)
7) Monroe Central (Woodsfield) (could move up or down one slot, depending on other games)
8) Valley (Lucasville) (assumes a loss and help; #3-#5 if they win, as a slight favorite)

Caldwell goes from about a 75% chance with 9 wins last week, to a 40% chance going into this week.

I don't know if I agree with this. If he is assuming a Valley loss to Minford, I don't see how Minford doesn't make the playoffs. I guess I just don't see it, but maybe it's possible.

You are correct selmonc, If Minford beats Valley they are in...somewhere from 3 spot to 5 spot. unless either Burg, York or Coal Grove lose, Ridgewood will be 7 Monroe 8.

Looks like a rematch of the Regional title in the 1st round as well as Monroe at Oak hill. The rest could vary depending on alot of games/situations.

If Minford wins, they are in. #3-#5 spot would be where they should fall. #3 if Burg or NY should lose, #5 if all 3 should win.

I personally would love to see Minford win and end up playing Coal Grove in round #1.

Monroe Central played Wheelersburg in the first round last year, not Oak Hill in an absolute shootout. Neither teams defense showed up in that game as Burg won 52-41.

I'm not ruling out a possible MC/Fredericktown matchup. The only thing that is guaranteed is if MC wins in week 10, MC fans look forward to packing up and driving 3 plus hours either northwest or southwest.

Selonmc, was that you that brought up Caldwell/Shenandoah being moved? I don't know if you've been on there lately, but I just read a post on the other site that said Barnesville and Shadyside will be week 10, which would keep Caldwell/Shenandoah week 10. I also heard that Beallsville is dropping Caldwell after this year. Don't know who we'll be picking up.

Mother Nature was talking about a week 11 match up of Ridgewood vs Fredericktown. A rematch of last years 5-19 Regional Title game.

Anybody know anything about the Freddies this year? I wonder if they are as good as what it seems like? They have been beating some good teams by wide margins. Last year Ridgewood handled them fairly easily, as that game was not near as close as the 7 point margin.

Fredericktown lost a lot of talent last year, they are not as good as their
schedule may indicate, very weak!!!
Kind of like some of are area teams that are just finding out how good they
thought they were.
The Freddie's will not get a challenge until 2nd rd of playoffs, the Burg had them
beat last year but let them hang around.
But yes they are beatable.

IMO the Freddies are better than last year... more balance on Offense (dependent on QB last year). Their defense is pretty solid as well, prob better than last year

Not by that schedule their not, they are a young team by
looking at last years roster, not that much experience and
this will prove costly come playoff time.
Just ask some good teams around the area what it's like to
blow somebody off the field every week until they get there
teeth kicked out the last couple weeks of the season,
teams rolling up scores all year long until they actually play
a good team that has already played some competition, it
makes all the difference in the world come block buster time.
I know this if the freddie's would have played some caliber teams
like in the SOC II they would not be undefeated right now.
Look at Ridgewood for example if they go undefeated and the chips
don't land right they could be setting home week 11, what's wrong with
this picture and the freddie's schedule is not that much stronger!!
As we always do come playoff time we will see how good these teams
really were in regular season..

I assume you are a Burg fan orange and black...for your info Ridgewood is a lock with a win in week 10. They played the same schedule this year as last year with the exception of Trail/Shadyside and won the region, beating 2 SOC schools, 1 of which beat the Burg as did the Freddies.
Now, can they do that again? Who knows, but I wouldnt count them out thats for sure.
