Let's see, Jv, eighth grade, freshmen, and varsity =4 games.

Still doesn't answer my question about why the freshmen would play at home when the varsity plays away?

I can't say to much on here at this time, but a wet field will help GA alot , the question is the line play for both teams,

Bad conditions favor the underdog. i don't knw who that is in this game. But bad weather serves as an equalizer.

I think we all know who the underdog is in this game - you don't lose this many games in a row and be the favorite in a game, no matter the conditions.

It’s good to have you back on a GAHS thread 2OLD…… I have missed you.. You are spending way to much time on the I-Town threads. You are presenting the I-Town people with way to many facts to digest…..LOL Hard to pick a favorite for the GAHS game…. This being Points first game probably makes GAHS the slight favorite, but not by much… Field conditions will always be a factor at GAHS, our field is nothing but a cow pasture with line painted on it.. I have better grass in my front yard……. I hope the fans at GAHS are not thinking about playing on a new field in a couple of years because that won’t happen…. The King and his Jesters dropped the ball again… Need to spend more $$ on Memorial field….. The King just eliminated all refrigerator, micro-wave and coffee pot usage at GAHS, plus raised the school and activity fees, so $$$ should not be an issue….. Enough said about that……. Looking for a very close game, turnovers and special teams play could decide this one…….

Friday's game with visiting Pt. Pleasant will be the 79th since the 1921 campaign.

Gallipolis leads the series with 39 wins against 34 losses with five ties.

Before GAHS began a nine-game winning streak over the West Virginians, PPHS led the series with 34 wins against 30 losses and five ties.

The series has been that way during the long rivalry.

In the 1920s, GAHS was 5-3-0 against PPHS.

In the 1930s, GAHS was 4-5-1.

In the 1940s, GAHS was 7-2-1.

In the 1950s, PPHS owned the Gallians with 7 wins, two losses and one tie.

In the 1960s, GAHS was 4-3-2.

In the 1970s, PPHS was 3-0-0.

In the 1980s, PPHS was 6-4-0.

In the 1990s, GAHS was 5-5-0.

In the 2000s, GAHS is 8-0-0.

Longest GAHS win streak over PPHS is 9 games (from 1998 to 2007). Longest PPHS streak over the Ohions is 5 (from 1981 to 1986).

It will take more than $$$$$$ to fix that field. Was at Meet the team and I couldn't believe how the field looked. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave the King out of the football forums. Sick of hearing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of good football has been seen down there at Memorial Field over the years, but I would take more money than the Rockefeller Family has to get it fixed right.

Not meant as a an insult; just a fact of life.

I think that everybody is eagerly awaiting the day when the new field out in Centenary is built and ready for play.

Blue,

Well things are so bad for you guys that i hate to kick a dog when it is so far down. But thanks for the welcome back. It is a hard game to pick. Pt has not played and Gallia has no way to measure their team because they opened with the former door mat Athens. Too bad they did not take my advice a schedule up and have a read on their talent level. Gallia will be ill prepared for the league once it starts. Two out of the first three games do no good for the program.

As far as Ironton, man do those guys hate to hear the truth. Wow. Worse than some of the Blue posters. At least the Blue posters recognize the program at Gallia is down .

BTW, I only have one thing to say:

LONG LIVE THE KING

Blue,

Ok, OK i will buy. Just don't bring some of your smurfy friends with you. Well your friends are probably ok. It is some of the other smurfs i am not buying any food for. But they will go to Bush's before the game. Some posters plan their whole life around their meals.

I look forward to two of my favorite teams getting it on. Those two towns are where Chieftain Envy seems to have the strongest hold. i can see the posters now.
