I will post something about the conditioning program at Chesapeake.
First, there is a huge difference in what Coal Grove and Chesapeake does. Lucas wants big work horses. Chesapeake wants race horses. Lucas will pound pound pound you, he doesn't train for speed.
Anyways, as a former player and very dedicated weight lifter, I am appalled at what little has been done on behalf of the weight room. Here is something that most don’t know and I think the school system should be held accountable for. There have been several players that have been diagnosed with staph infection, many of which lift in the school weight room. Is there a correlation between the two, absolutely? The BOE should be embarrassed, oh that is right they are. No longer do opposing teams dress in that locker room because of the condition it is in, but they will continue to think it is good enough for Chesapeake’s young men and women. So it is embarrassing to have visiting teams go in there, but it is suitable for the middle school football team and those who want to lift? Where are priorities? Shouldn’t safety of our/your children come first? Kids are getting staph infection, the facilities are a joke, and somehow we are supposed to encourage kids to play sports and lift weights? Please don’t get me started on the football facilities that are an eye sore to the community.

maybe they should shut off that shower thats been running since i was in middle school. . .I'm 22
I really don't think people understand how bad this has become. . . legally they should look into the fact that it floods. . and isn't properly sanatized. . and i know thats a safety violation, honestly that building legally must be cleaned or torn down

Just think how much money they'd save if that shower would turn off. They could redo the whole weight room with that.

I remember my senior year at one point we had the weight room where the old shop/ media room is now. There wasn't alot of space but maybe they can put the stuff back in there if they decide to tear down that building. I think everyone in the community needs to take this to the BOE office and DEMAN them to do something about this problem. JMO
