i still think chandler lang is better. he only had 2 points less with half the shots of weichman. and i was just saying that I'm tired of everyone from caldwell saying that he is the best sophomore in the league. the chance i get to watch him, and he didn't impress me at all.

Based on the word out of practice tonight, the coach decided to only play the older players and weich on varsity the rest of the way and is leaving the frosh all down, said they changed some things and had a great practice tonight. I know it wasn't the same team the past two games as it was earlier in the year, hope it works. Sad kids are like that though.
Hope this is not true, because the future won't be bright for Caldwell if we let parents run the show and the kids. Obviously, when you are 1-something, then the young kids are your future. Hope things work out for the best. Good luck and let's get a win!!!

everyone keeps saying they aren't playing up to their potential, but when they only have one win, what exactly is their limit? if they want to get better, they need to find someone to come off the bench and give their starters a breather.

You can't judge a player on one game though, and scoring isn't everything. Weichman will have spans where he plays like he did against FF, and then he'll have spans like he did a little while back where he put up 40+ combined in two games. Like I said earlier, I'm sure plenty of guys on FF's team have had off games before. It happens at every level. And while Weichman may not have shot a great percentage, he still played pretty good D and made quite a few good passes.

You ask what their potential is? I think it's what I saw against Trail in the 3rd quarter, when the officiating was horrible but they still came back and took the lead. Or when they played Beallsville, one of the tougher teams on their schedule, to a draw for 3 quarters. That's their problem though, they haven't quite put 4 effective quarters together. And it comes down to like you said, depth, and everyone knew from the very beginning that they would have very little depth. Players on the team need to realize they are not entitled to anything, regardless of how old they are. If you don't want a freshman or sophomore taking your minutes, then step your play up and show the coach that you're the guy that should be out on the floor.

I feel like Virgin needs to get off Weichmans back when Smith was a freshman he was a similar player.

I'm just saying he didn't play up to what everyone on here said that he would. I'm sure he is good, seeing that he is starting as a sophomore, but the caldwell people on here made it seem like he was gonna be the next best thing in the league.
