The word on the street is that they will not reopen the job. I also heard that when coach Palmer turned in his resignation he suggested assistant coach lockhart should get the program. I don't know if that is a good thing for coach lockhart? Manchester will have several teaching postions now where they did not have any before when they made their decision in May to rehire coach Palmer.
I also know that the Manchester must move quickly if they want to bring a new coach in, I look for a descision to be made before the July 8th board meeting.

They have a board meeting tomorrow night. I am sure there will be some kind of decision made about the whole thing and what they are going to do. They need to hire before July 8th. Summer is blowing by. How long has Lockhart been coaching

Why do they need to hire before July 8th?

They did not hire anyone tonight, "interested in all". They were in plenty of shootouts through June and open gyms will continue through the end of the month. They have nothing scheduled the first week of July since it is a holiday week. So I think that the July 8th meeting will still be the date of hire. I look for interviews to reopen this week and early next week. Keep your cell phone close!!!

Heard the JV coach is going to be the guy to get the job. They don't want to have to hire a teacher. Maybe thats who they want.

You are probably right coach Lockhart will be asked to coach the Jv again, but who will be the new varsity coach?
