The two principals losing their positions probably do not have high school administrative credentials and so the assistant principal position is posted.

In my opinion, the best hire Ironton could have made...Of the names listed, all could have and would have done a phenomenal job...However, IMO LaFon will do the best job...Congrats Coach LaFon.

They are not in the union but they were not fired....they were RIFTED which mean reduction in force...then if a position becomes available they are to be given first choice on it before someone from outside the district can get it... that is why these people have to be called back first. That is what I was told.

Well, I do not have a preference. Just wondering why Football instead of Basketball, Girls Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Girls Tennis, Boys Track, Girls Track, Golf, CHAT.....Well you get the point. The AD covers ALL these sports. So, I was just wondering why Kantuck chose the Football Forum to make this public. Curiosity I guess. And, congrats to Coach LaFon. He has done ALOT of fund raising using the BB program, I can't wait to see what he can do with ALL the sports !!

I agree that Coach Lafon will do a great job there is no doubt in my mind about that and I wish him the best with his new job. I do feel that somebody with more seniority that has the same experience and is an Ironton alumni like Asst. Coach and teacher Mark Lutz would've been my top choice especially with all the extra time he puts in without being asked and everything he does to make the school and football field along with other things look better. He's always at the school all summer helping cut the football field which isn't required of him but he does it because he likes helping. That being said I'm sure Coach Lafon will do everything he can to make the Athletics better in Ironton.

My guess is that the most people read the football board and we couldn't get people from Logan to interupt our conversations and remind us how many league championships they have won on any other board :-D

GO TIGERS!!!

Maybe the new A.D will find you guys a league you can win so that you can quit jumping ship because your not dominating the SEOAL like the old days, so may I suggest the TVC hocking. Because you MIGHT be able to win that league.

actually, people from logan thought this would be a decent rivalry in the making but that hasnt been the case. loganites pretty much look to the logan/lancaster matchup as THE game. i thought i would chime in since you brought up logan. goodbye and thx for playin. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Not all on here"yap" as you say.
But since were talking about "yapping"
Its looking like you are becoming what you dislike

I dont see why everyones pussyfootin around when winning league is brought up. Yep, its going to take a plane crash to stop Logan from winning the SEOAL this year. We return the best player to ever walk through Logan High School (literally ) but seriously, IMO the best player (assuming hes going to prove this year) we've ever had, his #1 receiver, and the coaching staff that is 2nd to none in the league. Its funny sitting here "Well i dont know.......So and So's going to be pretty good this year" and boom Logan waxes them by 40. Noone comes within 30 of Logan this year in the SEOAL. Much like last year, the rest of the league will only get to see Logans starters for 1/2 the game.
