Start Time- Each team puts their record up on the board and it's broken down by D1, D2, D3. Each coach can make a statement about their team and who they have beaten or played. Voting then goes, everyone votes for the #1 seed, then #2, and so on.

I'm sure Waverly went in with one loss last year, but even if it was to a very good D3(Webster) D2 coaches will see most of their games against D3 and think that they don't challenge themselves. It's kinda ridiculous, but it is what it is when it's really the only way to do it. Coaches don't tend to anything but vote with their conference either, so the fact that Waverly and Unioto are the only ones not in the SEOAL in their side of the draw, they kinda get put where the SEOAL coaches want to put them as a whole.

It's not just that they play D3 teams. Some D3 teams, like South Webster last year, are certainly better than some of the D2 schools. Traditionally, it's been that Waverly didn't have an impressive result against one of the teams in the sectional. The biggest things in those meetings are head-to-head matchups. Many times, Waverly came into the seeding meeting without having a single win against anyone on their side of the district (mostly because they barely play anyone in the sectional). Waverly seems to be trying to fix this, so I think this will less of an issue in the future. However, until they play and/or beat Marietta, Warren or Athens they're not going to have as impressive results as some of those other teams in the room. This year is no different, it's going to be a tough meeting. So far, each team only has one loss by a slim margin... Marietta lost to a big Akron school, Warren lost to Zanesville (DI?), and Athens lost by one goal to Marietta. Waverly lost to Circleville, who is having a great season, but is no big DI school or perennial powerhouse like Marietta. Flip a coin to figure out who's going to be seeds #1-4.

From this discussion it sounds like Waverly is too big for the SOC.
The only D2 soccer school, much larger than most and
they don't have to contend with a real (good) football team for talent.
