Warren committed 7 turnovers, got two takeaways, Portsmouth was plus 5 in this department. Several of the Warren turnovers were when they were driving. So give credit to Portsmouth's "D" they put them in position to win. Warren must take outstanding care of the pointy thing friday for Logan will jump all over us if we can't. Good luck to the Warriors.

Logan should win this game and Waren will not have the turnovers that they had last week

I have been reading this forum for the last couple weeks and this is my first time to jump in. The only game i missed Warren play was the Portsmouth game. I have read a lot of talk about weak schedules, who is demanding respect and so on. I can tell you this. No quality coach of any sport would ever allow thier team to not respect the abilities of another team or thier coaching staff. To do so is just poor coaching and i dont believe there are that many bad coaches in the TVC, SEOAL, MVL or any team across the river in Wva. The schedule is set at least two years in advance of the game being played, the quality of your team or the quality of your opponent is ever known. I dont believe any team considered thier opponent unworthy of respect unless something was done to no longer give it. Winning or losing the game is not the criteria for maintaining or losing respect. Warren is a D2 team by 14 boys, it fluctuates each year, sometimes enough to change thier division or that of thier opponent, how do you compensate for that in in a two year schedule. Now Logan is one of the premier football schools in our area and as a football fan I root for them each year they and the other area teams make the playoffs, which is no easy feat. Reguardless of the outcome of the Warren/Logan game we look forward to see a good effort, good football and mutual respect.

All of those teams that Warren has played someone else has too.
Most of the time these team are good teams. Just looks like they are having a down year.

With Warren briging their program back up they just caught most of them at a down year. Warren hasn't just got past most of these teams they have beaten them pretty good.Warren would have played them a strong game no matter.

Half of their games have been at their level or higher.(Div.2) Not every team in the league does that.

Not taking away from Portsmouth but Warren did have a -5 in the turnovers in that game

The turnovers Warren committed last week was something they hadn't down all year and it definately stunned them and affected their confidence in the redzone. However, if Warren can erase those turnovers and keep their running game on the field and the ball out of Angle's hands then they have a chance of atleast keeping this game competitive. I'm anxious to see Logan's offense..

exblue; you are preaching to the choir. What you say has been posted many times over and over. Also on other posts from/about other schools and their schedule(s). While I appreciate and agree with your post, alas most of the detracters just want to stir up the pot. And you post will fall on deaf ears. This years team has no control on who they play. Nor will next years team. If some remember we had DI Mount Vernon on the schedule that was contracted when we were 8-2,9-1 under Coach Devol. However Warren fielded juts about 30 to 35 kids most seniors and freshmen when we got to play them. So, again than you for your post and keep the faith.

I can assure that Coach Amyx and staff have a huge respect for Warren and will prepare for the Warriors with the same effort and enthusiasm as they did for Lancaster or Ironton. If there is one thing Logan has done the last 4-5 years it is prepare for each opponent and kept focus.

Coach Amyx has mentioned Warren in several interviews especially as they stayed unbeaten. Still, any team that is 6-1 deserves a ton of attention.

I thought Coach Amyx's comment after last week's game that Logan was very business-like in executing that game plan was insightful. No team can get "UP" for every game but the true measure is going out, doing what you're expected to do and moving on to the next game. You don't want too many of those in a season and it makes for a boring watch for the fans sometimes. However, a quick punch to the jaw can shake a team out of that mode. I expect Logan to take care of business this last away game, then home for two more emotional games against Jackson (homecoming) and Chillicothe (Senior night). Then it's on to the playoffs where Logan having been there and done that will help this year.

Beware the Warriors in October! Logan , Chilli and Ironton this team is for real. They had there bad game at Portsmouth (no disrespect). Now there out for blood! Logan plan on good hard fought game. Ellenwood, Wolfe , Pritt and the O-line including Timberman, Greathouse, Hendrix, Arbuckle and Alferd will give Logan all they can handle and more. And what ever you do don't forget their GREAT Defense!

Warren 20 Logan 17 in hard fought battle! :122246

Looking at the stats for the year it looks like we have passing team against a well balanced team on offense. The defenses are with in 4 points allowed per game of each other. I don't think this will be a blow out either way. But beware the Warriors are at home in October! Remember you Cheiftians you bought the game from us last year when we went undefeated at home!

This one isn't hard to call -- Logan with the more difficult schedule & impressive results & scores. Warren with lesser schedule and less impressive wins, including the fiasco with Meigs. Even CalPreps thinks so......... 40-13 Logan. Thats probably not far off.

Not even gonna be close.
Coach wolfe needs to put points up early, to get angle and crew off the field and keep them healthy.
Keep them in shape on mondays !

Hilariously, the 20-17 score sounds like an actual score from a Logan Warren basketball game. They have slobber-knockers on the court points are very hard to come by in those contests.
