I think Ironton will be a team to contend with they lost some early games due to the fact they was still getting in to basketball mode due to the extended football season but it seems to me they are playing as well as anyone else is and you have to take that when they play any county team the games tend to be closer due to the fact both teams get fired up.
Call it county pride or rivalry but it is what it is.
I believe Ironton is a team to be feared.

Oak Hill's opponents are shooting 35.7%, 24.8% from 3pt range. They are also forcing 17 turnovers a game. Oak Hill is a better defensive team this year than they were last year.

Can Oak Hill make it, sure. I have seen teams that were 12-8 in the regular season just start clicking at the right time and win a state title. So yea, they can. But there are also 4 or 5 other teams in the district that are pretty good and have a chance as well. I would say that Oak Hill wont make it, but they could.

Oak Hill has as good a chance as any other local D3 school. That being said, it will be very difficult. Making the Regionals would be an outstanding season on the heels of a state title for any local team.

Good luck to all of the D3 teams of southeastern ohio heading into the tourney.

they can make a run but they have no depth on the bench. with no depth you have to get a little lucky to make it through the tourney.

True but they had no depth last year. They rotated six players.

Oaks are playing great, but there are alot of tough D3 schools to beat to get there. If they were still D4 I would say yes, but to get there in D3 they will have to play great and have alittle bit of luck. I wouldn't count them out, they have been there before and know how to get there.

We beat alot of tough D4 schools last year too folks. It takes a lot of talent and alot of luck. We've got one covered!! Also, Oak Hill is undefeated now due to Huntington St Joe had to forfeit due to an ineligible player.
