He's too fine of a player and young man to hang em up... ask all of the former Buckeyes who should have played at the next level and they will all tell you they wished they played anywhere at the next level!
I agree but I think that the most important thing is that he get a college education.
Isn't he now going to Otterbein? He'll get the best education in the world there. 'Course, I'm partial.

Re: 2010 Nelsonville-York Buckeyes!!
Really tough schedule this year. I applaud the Buckeyes for taking a step toward getting better prepared for the playoffs. Ready and NC are both perennial playoff teams. You'll learn quickly what your team is made of and what you need to work on playing competition like that.
I saw earlier in the thread talking about non-league scheduling and possible matchups. I really think that you need to be careful scheduling quality D2 and D3 programs like Logan and Sheridan. There are certainly years where NY could compete, but many years, they wouldn't. There comes a point where you can just get out of your competition level. I think Berne Union makes a lot of sense from a geographical standpoint. Schools like Amanda, New Lexington, Crooksville would be good competition and make sense geographically. For measuring stick type games, Newark Catholic, Bishop Ready and West Jefferson are all a bit further away, but will really improve your chance of succeeding in the playoffs.

nice, you'll have to let me know when you go up. me and some friends / former coaches are going to see everybody this year. michael angle, mason, ryan, derek and zach. we're planning on making a trip to ysu. it would be nice to have a group from nelsonville and logan all go up and tail gate together.

I look for the buckeyes to be around the 500 mark this year with the biggest loss to the TOMCATS. Sorry but no playoffs this year..................................

I certainly don't look for a Tomcat win in week 1 but stranger things have happened. As I posted on a different post I feel like N-Y is a 6 or 7 win team this year and not because I think the team is bad but, the front end of the schedule is tough with Newark Catholic, Bishop Ready, and a long trip to St. Clairsville in the first 5 weeks along with a home opener against a Trimble team who'd have their year made with a win in Buchtle. Good luck Buckeyes I hope you can prove me wrong. (Except for maybe week 10)

Re: 2010 Nelsonville-York Buckeyes!!
As someone living in the Central Ohio area I would say that Ready is going to be tough, but maybe not as tough as they have been the past few years and Newark Catholic has not been the same for a couple of years, but they always seem to play out of their league teams really well. I think last year they barely lost to an Amanda team that probably would have won the region if their best player did not get injured. I don't know anything about St. Clairesville... Ironton should be tough as well. I would love to see NY split those 4 games, run the table in the TVC, and end up 8-2.
