Marietta VS Fort Frye Who Do You Think Would Win

I'm pretty sure none of the Marietta players are worried about Fort Frye. Jon and Garret are good friends. Marietta plays a tougher schedule and has a tougher road in tournaments. Fort Frye would lose in the 2nd maybe even the first round if they were in Marietta's tourney position.

Marietta played another quality team in Chillicothe. They lost by 15. They're now 10-4, 3-4 in conference play.

I've never seen so many people claim how good a team was, when they can't even beat a quality team.

Worry about actually winning some tough games instead of worrying about who win against in a hypothetical Marietta/FF match up.

SO how did that turn out for him? Like I thought it would, alot of hype for another FF team that is showing outside the weak PVC they are just average.

without zach huck fort frye would have no chance to beat marietta. him being out means legraen has to guard and be guarded by the opposing teams post players. i watched both of the ff v warren games and legraen was in foul trouble from having to guard warren's grant venham because they had no one bigger to guard him. legraen is more of a guard forward than a post forward, he would not be able to guard jon sewell or nathan williams. sewell tore up malik london on friday night and he is being recruited by several divison I colleges for those who didnt know. with zach huck it would be a close game but marietta still comes out on top.

Did Easterndspy get tired of getting humiliated by everyone on here about all the mistakes he makes and the fact that he is a Cadet-colored glasses, Homer boy? I've seen it actually. It's called every Fort Frye fan. They have a lot of quality wins though, Monroe and River would kill Marietta in a pre season scrimmage and maybe even in the season

Well said, your exactly right!!!! This is rediculously dumb, in all of my years of watching and visiting this website, following all of the area schools, I have NEVER seen something as obserd as this.

11-4 is great! thats a huge improvement for a team in just 1 year after that HORRIBLE season they had last year.. but for God's sake Marietta has beat Athens 2 times...and let me clarify thats a TVC TEAM!! also they beat Belpre...PVC...those aren't exactly comparable sized teams or leagues to what Marietta should be playing in nonconference games.. Marietta also beat a Cambridge team who they could even beat last year...not to mention they get an off year against Ironton who could easily beat them...c'mon I dont care who you are, who your follow...when your league record is under 500 or maybe at (not sure where this weekends games put them) and your overall record is 11-4...that pretty much shows you that you've played a very very weak schedule.......congratulations if you can beat FF... i guess thats like Marietta to want to brag on beat SMALLER schools....go focus on making sure you lock up that 4th place league spot

Yes, they beat Belpre. Do they brag about beating Belpre like FF does about beating Trail or River? No they don't.

Its not just the Belpre game alone, its that these Marietta people brag about all of their wins, when most of their wins are against smaller schools! 11-4 means nothing to me when you name off teams you've beaten like Belpre, Athens, Cambridge...MEADOWBROOKE!

The argument is not if their wins are quality for D2 or not, it's who is better. If you want to discuss whether or not Meadowbrooke is a quality win, a game in which the normal starting five saw about 2 minutes of playing time, yet they won by 30+, then go ahead and start that thread. Don't comment on the Marietta vs. Fort Frye thread with that.

I am commenting on some comments from earliers posts ON THIS FORUM about the attitude Marietta people on here seem to have and how some of them believe their schedule is way more tough than FF's and that being 11-4 makes them so much better than FF
..Its rediculous, but i guess when your team had 5 wins or so last year, 4th place in your league and wins against PVC and TVC teams, gives you a good reason to be excited and think you can beat a winning team and program..

Marietta will be playing Meadowbrook and Cambridge all the time starting next year in their new league. Not only that most teams that are scheduled outside Seoal play are with easy travel. Cambridge Meadowbrooke and New Philly are just right up the interstate and Belpre being in Washington County. Then Athens is a quick road trip just hop on to SR 7 to 50 and your there, these teams make sense when you put them on the schedule it saves the school and makes the school money with the attendance of the visiting team. Not only that Marietta has played both Athens and Cambridge for sometime, a team has up and down years look at Marietta and Athens for example Athens last year was a solid team not so much this year same could be said for Cambridge while Marietta struggled last year and are having decent this year.
