Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Andy Reid is on the hot seat in Philly. I'd take him in a minute. One thing is certain, the Browns will finish at or near the bottome of the league and Haslem will blow it to smithereens!
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012

Of course, with those two Super Bowl appearances and nothing to show for it - that still means the Bengals are the only pro football team in Ohio without an NFL championship (the same thing as a Super Bowl title, only before it was called the Super Bowl). Browns 4, Bengals 0.
Who what?
Oh, and Bengals fans speaking on our Browns forum about your short-comings, thank you for adding to the legacies of Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott. We know you tried very hard.
Stick to baseball, it is what Cincinnati does best. At least since 1968.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
So now it's the Bills coming to town. Is this the week we see the true Browns team emerge or is it another week on the spiral downward to regime change?
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
I say wear the Brown unis again. They lead to functioning offense, as seen last week.
Usually, Buffalo and Cleveland make for an entertaining game.
I still often think of the 8-0 Snow Bowl from a few years ago. Two Dawson FGs and a safety.
And as bad as that sounds, I give them credit for getting to eight.
Hoping for that first win. Woof Woof!

Even before the season began, I had the least interest in football than I can ever recall. I'm waiting for basketball camps to open. Go Celtics! At least they have a coach.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
After just 3 games, I have to come to accept the fact.......and I say FACT.......that the Browns are still a couple of years away from being a very good football team.......I know Cleveland fans hate to hear something like that, as starved as we have been for wins.......but the reality is that the talent, though getting better, is not there yet, and the coaching may not be either.
There will be changes when Jimmy Haslem takes over, but they may not happen until after the season.......but right now, it looks like the Browns are headed for the #1 draft choice, given our schedule the rest of the year.
One thing I would like to see more in the upcoming games is letting Trent Richardson run outside some more.......he has already shown that he can make some good yardage when he is out on the edge.

I would be SO happy if they were only a couple of years away. It seems they have been a couple of years away since 1999.trojandave wrote:After just 3 games, I have to come to accept the fact.......and I say FACT.......that the Browns are still a couple of years away from being a very good football team.......I know Cleveland fans hate to hear something like that, as starved as we have been for wins.......but the reality is that the talent, though getting better, is not there yet, and the coaching may not be either.

They played the Raven's very close. Who knows what may happen if the WR's could catch the ball.
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
I'll tell ya what I think the old man has proven he is an NFL QB,if his receiver's would have caught the balls they should have he have over 400 yards passing and they probably win the game,he had that one bad throw, but against a tough Raven defense I think he was impressive and the thing that makes it more impressive is he didn't have much of a running game to help out alhough Richardson had some nice screen yardage. The Brownie defense gave up a lot of yards but held tough when it counted and how smart is Joe Thomas on that last drive to flop to the ground and keep the drive alive, just got to find a way to win some games now,and how could I forgot to mention Phil Dawson that guy is unbeleivable

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Browns played to the end. I saw some signs of encouragement. Biggest disappointment was the (continuing) droppsies from our receiving corp. Yes, you Mr. Little! Although he made a great catch in their first scoring drive. Seems he can't catch the ones he is supposed to.
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
When the Browns are not playing or on tv those who live in the Tri State area are treated to a team with even a worse offense than the Browns in the JETS.
