Never understood (actually I think I do) why Jackson or Warren wouldn't be a fit here. Warren is honestly the better fit here given the politics of football.
Not sure I see an Oak Hill being a fit in the TVC honestly.
Is the TVC not interested in expansion for anyone, or not interested in Warren?
Jackson to Athens 39 miles
Jackson to Alexander 30 miles
Jackson to Wellston (already play) 9 miles
Jackson to NY 52 miles
Jackson to Vinton County 19 miles
Jackson to Meigs (they already play) 50 miles
Jackson to RV 29 miles
Total miles 228
Warren to Athens 38 miles
Warren to Alexander 47 miles
Warren to Wellston 69 miles
Warren to NY 41 miles
Warren to Vinton County 63 miles
Warren to Meigs 37 miles
Warren to RV 60 miles
Total miles 355
Pro's for Jackson are they are closer, very nice facilities, travel excellent (I think the Burg gate from them in 2014 was upwards of 7k from what I heard) and besides football they are not consistently dominant any other sports. Cycles here and there with girls basketball and softball and maybe baseball now and then. Multiple D3 football schools already in TVC with Athens and VC.
Con's for Jackson is football, but can you imagine the Harbin's if you can win a game every couple years or so.
Pro's for Warren are they are not right now a dominant football school but that will change with the right person at some time but most likely 3+ years away,
Con's for Warren are they are fairly dominant on a consistent basis is most every sport besides football. Be a lot of TVC banners in their gym for sports not called football.
At end of day TVC does not appeared to be interested in expansion with those teams (Warren/Jackson). Would they consider Oak Hill if they left the SOC? Maybe, they accepted RV a couple years back.
Would Oak Hill consider the SEOAL? Let's face it they have had cycles in football that would allow them to be competitive occasionally. And girls basketball, baseball, and boys basketball would be competitive very, very often. Maybe that isn't such a big stretch after all. But that isn't going to happen either.
So TVC stays the same and Jackson and Warren will need to find 8 non-league games.
Want me beat this some more or is that pretty much enough lol?
