Logan playing fort Frye is a complete Joke
I don’t care how good they have been, Logan should beat them by 60. It’s just a sign of what they think of themselves that they would agree to play such a tiny opponent. Didn’t Logan try to get in the TvC Hocking division a few years back!
Shadyside and Minford were booked. While Meigs wanted more of a challenge.
LD had an article, but didn't say much. Think it said they would be at New Lex the next few weeks. With the size of the line and if they can block it could be one heck of a running game. Possible two running back with speed in the 11s for the 100M in the back field together.

This makes sense. With a huge line and 2 quick backs, expect a run game. Pass game can be effective with short play action passes faked off the run plays.
I am pretty sure Logan is running the football this season and will gear the offense around that philosophy. I think it will be an old school "3 yards and a cloud of dust" style of offense with the big uglies up front the backbone of the offense. They wont throw it 50 times a game by any stretch.
Believe that when I see it. Can that type of offense beat a Jackson? A Sheridan? A St.Charles team that is vastly improved? Will this offense get more kids out to play in the future? Heard the 9th grade and 7th grade groups are very talented.

If they're good enough at running it they can beat those teams. If that happens, winning will "get more kids out."

There are plenty of schools that have stayed with the running game over the years. One third of a passing game is still called a running game. Logan's defense will have to step up to win big ball games with that type of offense.

The numbers that have been out this off season show alot of promise so i woukld wager it will. Winning breeds winning. Kids will want to play if they can be successful and they have the horses to be a ground and pound style of team.
There are some very athletic classes coming up through the middle school and there is an upward trend in numbers, even at the youth level. The youth program, the Logan Tomahawks, is at 65 kids between the two age group teams and the season hasn’t even started. There are likely to be a handful more to signup. That is one of the largest turnouts in years! Does it equate to success at the varsity level down the line? It may not, but it shows there is interest and growth happening.
Logan last year........it was noticeable...........had more success when running the ball........if they are as big up front as advertised.......on the ground power ball with some good backs is a smart decision................I wish Logan the best this season.........
If they can march the ball down field with the run this year. Stick with it. None of these surprise passes in scoring position after the run was what got them down there. Didn't work well last year obviously. Stick with what got ya down to the red zone, and bulldoze the ball into pay dirt, or some kinda of run. Heard the front hogs are some big ole boys. The run game should be good. Pass wisely when need to.
